Now that we have a gazillion community factions going on and nearing completion, with many of the factions being ISAF members, I thought of something: How about making a sort of booster pack for PR with a bunch of ISAF missions including all the relevant community factions? That way, the factions won't take up space in the main download.
Thoughts?

It's a shame that client side skin packs are not possible in BF2 given Punkbusters ineptitude - it would eliminate the manic chorus of voices demanding the Vatican's Swiss Guards et al be represented ingame with the usual zero benefit to the game as a whole.

Yeah. I want to be able to play as Military Police. I'll wear camo, and my client-side skin pack will let me see the other players as prisoners in orange jumpsuits.
Come to think of it, I also have a healthy disdain for and desire to shoot clowns.

Agreed that the size of the mod is going to get more and more huge as time goes on... This time round' we at least put the download into two seperate files.
Yep. I guess it'd be something like what's already been done. Also, that way, people who just don't want to wait or play the community factions can choose not to.

the point is, why the community factions have to be part of the standart pr is simply because other ways it would split the community in those playing with addon and those playing without

Reason:replaced "y" with "why"
It would split the community even more, "Addon" players won't be able to play with PR-Only players - I don't think anyone would actually play Community mods if community mods will be standalone downloads.
I really hate this idea why try to remove it from pr client to make the size be more approval well get a new connection 56'ers So i really hope the pr team will just add it into the pr client later on when it releases!
Integrate them in PR, that should be the goal.
Have the DEVs approve their quality for you, so we won't have the polacs hurting the canadians feelings or what ever..
