Vehicle mounted AGL
(I've had some hard time to decide on which forum should I post it, so if it's wrong one please move it)
Vehicle mounted automatic grenade launchers (VMAGL).
Is it allowed to use it on asymmetrical maps, (community factions map probabaly). There is no more symmetrical balance in PR, so I thought it can be used on some maps.
Yes I know, there are no VMAGL at this time in PR but what if some of the community factions would like to introduce that kind of weapon system in their asymmetrical maps?
BTW.
I know there was couple suggestions about it but this time it's not a suggestion but rather a question.

I have always wondered why there weren't AGL's in the game yet. I'm not talking about why someone hasn't modelled it, but why nobody has even tried. With all of the updates and new items added, I'm sure something like the Mk19 wouldn't be too hard to integrate into the game.
I can see how some might argue that such a weapon system would be too powerful. But then again, is it that much more powerful than say a Linebacker or Warrior? If anything, an AGL requires even more skill to operate due to the fact that it's an indirect-fire weapon, not direct-fire. You can't just point and shoot one, you need to range properly and fire in bursts. They would not only allow better fire support, but the chassis (such as a Humvee) could be used as additional troop transport, which is already being claimed as severely lacking on most maps.
I don't think such a weapon system should be placed on all maps, but there are some current maps (and most likely future maps) that they would fit on quite well. I personally see few problems if any in regards to adding them in the future.
Mk19's are not hard to find in operational use either. There have even been several times I mounted one to our Paladin for live fire. Something you wouldn't see in a deployment zone, but a good sign as to how many can be found available in an arms room.

Does this not happen with the other weapon systems in the game, to include small arms? I don't see how any particular weapon system can be seen as more of a TK threat than another. At least AGL's have a minimum arming distance.77SiCaRiO77 wrote:because then one guy will wtfkpwnD a whole UberDupertactic00l squad by his own , reducing the tactical element of the game .

1. NO to man portable AGL (sorry SGT.JOKER
).
2. The model itself will not be made by the DEVs.
3. Spam factor can be decreased by weapon overheat.
4. Indirect fire and deviation makes it less accurate than apc heat round
5. AGL would be mounted on heavy jeeps (like Humvee)
6. That kind of vehicle would be used only on some maps where two conventional armies are not symmetrically equiped (just like TOW Humvees on already existing maps).
