Sound in tanks
I think that how much you can hear in a tank is currently affected by either what sound card you have or what settings you use. For example, I have an XtremeMusic soundcard and i have the settings set to software, high, eax. I don't know what Lt philip was using but he was able to hear other tanks moving whether we, in our tank, were moving, or stationary. I used to be able to hear everything as well with my old audigy 2.

now why would you do that? if you got a sound card (device dedicated to sound) why switch it off (using "software")?LeoBloom. wrote:I have an XtremeMusic soundcard and i have the settings set to software, high, eax.
u need hardware or XFI to make BF2 use the sound card
otherwise your just wasting cpu power to sound simulation
