I remember reading about Project Reality before BF2 was even released. I played DCR (Desert Combat Realism) and wanted to know if somebody would be making something similar for BF2. I remember doing a google and ending up at the Project Reality web site. There wasn't much there except a few renders and a statement of intent - enough so I knew that if it took off, it'd be the bees knees.
I'm guessing I've been around since PRMM 0.1 then sometime in March 2005?
I tend to lurk, or play. I'm addicted to PR. I only play two games: PR and whatever I'm working on.
[Btw. Anyone remember "Gunner Traverse Left" commands from multi-crewing a tank in DCR? I miss that]
0.3, met Fuzzhead (before he became a dev) on Gloryhoundz and he taught me the ropes! Hooked ever since!
Anthony Lloyd, himself a former soldier in the British army and a Northern Ireland and Gulf War veteran: "The men inside (the APC) might have been UN but they were playing by a completely different set of rules. They were Swedes; in terms of individual intelligence, integrity and single-mindedness I was to find them among the most impressive soldiers I had ever encountered. In Vares their moment had come."
i think i tried the mod in 0.32 but didn't actually start playing until 0.4-- but since then i've been active... more on than off

Was a very confusing start for me. Started with 0.4 and got the hang of it and then 0.5 came out immeadiately and I was lost again. I lost interest at the end of the 0.6beta and didn't play any games at all. Then I noticed one day that 0.7 was out and had to try it. I'm still trying to catch a game of Al Basrah with this new version. Rounds tend to be long, too long for work days. I remember this one time when I was working over time and we were working and working and working and then my friend said, hey let's get out of here and get a beer. We were very tired and I kept falling asleep and so did my friend who was driving. We woke up on the wrong side of the road with massive cliffs on both sides so we were like trapped. It's funny cos there aren't any cliffs anywhere else on this stretch of road and it's maybe 8km. Cliff was a great map for Action Quake 2 by the way. Very steep cliffs and a cable car or something. So we wake up and this car is maybe 150m from us and the headlights light up our screaming faces. My friend yanks the wheel and we get back on our side of the road just in time. After that we wouldn't have been able to sleep even if our lives depended on it. It was getting too late for beers so we decided to go to this strip joint instead. They don't serve alcohol there, just some kind of slimy orange drinks. Anyway I sit there front row with my drink and I wake up from my friend hitting me in the shoulder and screaming, 'wake up goddammit!' He's excited cos this girl right infront of us, maybe half my age, is showing us her intimate parts. This was full on nudity, none of that **** I saw in London once, there I just wanted throw my beer bottle at her.. well, atleast they served beer. So anyway I wake up to my second near-heart attack that night. I left and took a cab home. The cab driver was from Ethiopia.. yeah of all places. I kept wondering if he knows which side of the road we drive on here in Sweden, well until he asked me, 'where to?', with the thickest accent of my home town. I knew right away I was dealing with a pure heart and had nothing to fear. I told him to wake me up when we got there. So now I just wait for the return of Muttrah City. I miss that map.
Been playing since .5 but dont play half as much as i did back then, find games take more time than they used too. Dont have that much spare time with uni going on.

Same here, except the Air Force is taking up my free time instead of college. The rounds seem to take a lot longer than they used to, unless your playing Street. Actually, though I've installed it, I still haven't played 0.7 yet.
0.1 "vet" here... just haven't put a lot of time in since. Been a Battlefield player since 42 came out, and I think vBF2 pushed me over the edge. Been an avid fan of most mods, but PR has always (and will always) be the best. The progress is simply astounding. I've played every main release except 0.2, and loved them all... .5 was the turning point though... wow! That's when it really started taking shape me thinks.
Funny how with all of the different changes that take place each release, each one feels "right" to me. Keep it coming fellas. Gotta get my addiction fix!
Started playing .6 lol when some friends told me about modjive then said oh try this mod, your like it as its based on realism downloaded it with my ISP capping down to 16kbs. Played it and was soled by the amount of people playing with VOIP. when i played vBF2 i played with about 6-7 people who used it thats it. And ive been hooked on PR since had a brief time on COD4 ranked to highest level it got boring same old gameplay and came back to PR. And now get asked by friends are you getting this game and all i say nope im happy with PR.
In Game: [MPN]Hypnotic_Killer - I think they saw us... *BULLETS FLY BY* Shit, they saw us.
'[5NFSO wrote:Thunder']i hear the chinese insurgents are gonna have push bikes, and on some maps they might even have baskets or bells (they cant have both as its too imbalancing)
