well i belive most of them are using the same chassi of course, but rather a change of the turret.
Those are the CV90 vehicles that i would like to be include
40mm AMC CV9040
30mm AMC CV9030
105mm AT CV90105
the Dual 120mm mortar system isnt really that necesary
Anti Aircraft ? we shall only put the NBG them against insurgancy, rebels & such so it wont come handy
the 120mm smoothbore cannon might be a little to powerful, i think a 105 will do just fine.
Thoughts/Comments ?

if its the 105 I say it should only be able to fire sabot rounds, since its the AT version. And I think its overkill having 3 versions in there. How many warrior versions does PR have? one right?Swe_Olsson wrote:105 will do just fine dont you think ?
Scandinavian Rapid Forces
I think we should settle on just one tbh - then perhaps include other versions when/if the time comes. Cause (even if denmark isnt there there will still be several military factions you have to cram into one team. Some PR faction have a hard time just chosing from their own armory - but if we have to include all versions of every vehicle of each army - it will never be relased and it will end up being as big as PR itself.
If we want to advance beyond this stage, especially with a multi nation project such as this - we REALLY need to have a VERY detailed design plan and make some tought choices and stick with them - or else this faction will die out like all of the rest that never got of the ground.

I agree. Having one version would be enough. Then when other things are done we could think about adding different versions. But 1 should be enough in the beginning.Z-trooper wrote: I think we should settle on just one tbh - then perhaps include other versions when/if the time comes.

Yes, and I suggest we make it a IFV version which will be either the 30, 35 or 40 mm cannon as I posted before. Personally I think the 40 mm is ugly - but that is not a valid argument. The 35 looks best of those 3mammikoura wrote:I agree. Having one version would be enough. Then when other things are done we could think about adding different versions. Well, i'm not gonna argue this matter because im not the one modeling but things are like this.
We're not going to use a MBT for one there for i suggested a 105mm to give them just a little extra firepower & i suppose you're right about the sabot rounds.
What about the 40mm & 105mm versions, there's no rush to release anything ( we have time )..
Ugly or not doesnt matter, i dont think the LAV-25 is that pretty but its a vehicle & it does the job just fine.
PS: this is a multipurpose vehicle, just like the stryker & the humvee
We wanna hit'em hard so they wont forget it

While we have been discussing this I have been working on it a little bit.

Another thing to remember is the balance aspect - Like most other factions I suggest to go for a infantry focused first release, and if we show up with 40mm and AT vs insurgents (afghan map most likely) there will be just no chance.

well from what I found from wiki is that the swedes use the 40mm version and Finland + Norway use the 30mm version of the IFV. Do the swedes (or anyone for that matter) use the 105mm version?
I'm thinking the IFV (either 30mm or 40mm) would be the best choise, because from what I found out there are more of these in service and as one of you said we are probably putting this faction to fight against insurgetns/rebels/similar so I'm not too sure if we need an AT version.

Agreed, we should probably consider which version is most likely to enter the battlefield. Since I am not fully aware of the swedes/norwegiens commitment in afghanistan and their gear I suggest that we look at numbers produced/in service.mammikoura wrote:well from what I found from wiki is that the swedes use the 40mm version and Finland + Norway use the 30mm version of the IFV. Looks to me that it should be the 40mm swedish version by the looks of the numbers.Denmark - 45 CV9035 (deliveries starting 2007 and plans for 45 more in 2009)
Finland - 102 CV9030FIN (57 first batch, 45 second batch)
Netherlands - 184 CV9035 (deliveries starting 2007)
Norway - 104 CV9030
Poland - CV9040 turret for BWP-40 (BWP-1 and CV90 hybrid). Only one prototype built.
Switzerland - 186 CV9030
Sweden - 509 vehicles, including 42 CV9040C with additional armour.
