BF2 1.2 PATCH kills PRMM
Ok so I know there Is a couple other posts But I can tell you that I tried everyway to get the current prmm to work with the new patch too no avail.
DO NOT PATCH bf2 if you want to currently play prmm. I would also recommend not patching just because the patch isnt all that great. I played around with it and I wasn't very impressed. Yeah you can no longer shoot when jumping. Hooray but that was probably the most impressive thing. The Uav's are cool as well but not all that exciting.
Patch if you must but I tell you it sucks. I would rather to continue playing great games of prmm than vanilla with a new patch anyday!!!

Damn, I just installed this, and I don't really feel like completely uninstalling and reinstalling BF2. The Devs need to get on this quick, as most people are not going to put off updating. Now I'm basically stuck without PRMM until the Devs do something. This is screwed up.
I get a CTD every time I run PRMM. Come on guys, can we please get this fixed?

I know, this is a serious issuie. I really hope they can at least make a hotfix for this problem, like maybe it's something simple that they can fix easily with just a quick download, as opposed to releasing the .3 version.Tony238 wrote:No wonder glory houndz has like 16 people in it man is this weak.

Gah, this is not good, so I can't play project reality.
Well, at least the patch did one awsome thing for me: I can play all the maps without punk buster jumping all over me about "modified content."
As far as the patch goes, it's alright. The AA is overkill though. There is nothing that can get past it. It was insane that I shot a jet that was flying close by and was perpendicular to me and the missle made an ninty degree turn in maybe a 2 inch radius to hit the jet. It looked it simply changed direction rather than turning.

Is it possible to install the patch to a different directory then copy the new or updated files into the bf2 directory? If it is then there’s a tool called JSGME.exe that is used to quickly backup the original files and move the new files in. or move the new files out and restore the backed up original files….with just the click of a button
I use it for other games like Rome total war, where I can change the version of the game or switch between mods without having multiple installs

I'm sure it is, but you would have to find out exactly where every individual file goes.
Personally, I'm just going to play Vanilla SP, and wait for a fix. I heard from a Public Relations member that the Developers are working on a fix for the problem, and it should be out soon.
