My compass has a misprint!
Now, I'm no mathematician, but I have always been led to believe that 180 minus 15 is 165...

I sense some blushing here[R-DEV]dbzao wrote:haha oh my...![]()
I can only imagine the complicated maths you fellas do when you're coding this mod and just how much you're kicking yourselves after this
Funny thing is I've always thought there was something a lil bit "off" but usually ended up getting shot before I even figured it out

Busted!
It hasn't caused a change in game play. I'd still call out "Contact, Unknown Infantry at one-seven-five" and my squad would know what i'm talking about

Yeah, you can see I was getting 68 fps there, but I was alone on a desert map and not moving. In fact, I never really get below 35fps on any desert map. But as soon as OGT loads it drops to 18-25, and Fools Road is anywhere between 8 and 15. With anything turned up at all that map would be a lost cause. I wish there was a way for me to set up the graphics for each map individually.
I'm gonna have to finally throw down for a new machine when the 9600mGT or 9800mGTS shows up on the scene.

How about several different profiles with various graphics settings (and almost identical names).
Then at least you could always simply quit to the main menu and switch profile when particular maps come on.
With the average round time being over an hour, and given that many maps would probably be okay at the higher settings, you'd probably not have to switch profiles all that often.

A 2.5 year old dell laptop (I know).
It's an i6000:
1.6Ghz single core centrino
2 GB 400MHz DDR2
Radeon X300 OC'd from 297/216 to 380/270.
The whole thing is running about as fast (and hot) as it possibly can. I use a program called fsAutostart, which shuts down a whole bunch of services & processes before defragging the memory and then starting PR. About the only two things I haven't done is undervolted the CPU or taken it all apart and put arctic silver on the GPU and CPU. I'd love to build a tower, but I'm always on the move and I can't really afford to have both a lappy and desktop. So I'm thinking that as soon as the 9600m debuts, I'll suck it up and shell out for a new Sager or Asus.
