Chopper going down!

Hey everyone.

I was sitting here thinking of something, and then i wanned to share my idea with you.

When a chopper is going down, most off us know that it dont explode and turns black :P now this is to the DEV's can you make it like in real life, where it turns in circles? you could make it on fire and then when it hits the ground you could make it explode.

I dont know if this i posible, but it would defendly be very cool.

That would be cool,

But I don't want the people inside to have more exit time!!! :twisted:

Its so gratifying to take down a full black/sea/transport-hawk with an AT round and know there was a whole squad inside!!!

Although now that they won't all have parachutes, so I can watch them all fall to the ground if they choose to exit!! :lol:

I like this idea, make it happen!!!!

I think its super-six-9er ...and a half.

I think this could maby done with the planes as they can increas the time the wreckage stays like with the tank wreckage ect and then the wreckage can just glide down to the ground in the direction the plane was heading before it blew.

But choppers, thats a hard 1 as there is so manny diffrent, unpredictibal ways a chopper is going to "go down". If the tail rotar was knoced out uyhou would get the "black hawk down" effect where it spins round and round out of control till it crashes somwhere and if it was the main rotar im not toalty sure what would happen. Most common thing to happen is for them to spin and go into a random direction, this would be very hard to put this into BF2.

I don't need random.. i can see them spinning into one direction. Just put a lot of smoke and dust when hiting ground^^

Better Yet watching the same guy jump off a building 6 times then complain over coms that his chute isn't working.... OMG, ROFLMAO

You could maybe make it like when you bail out off a Black Hawk, it spins up in the air maybe you could just make it spin down??

sofar all the modders i know are trying to just find that little bit of code the keeps the engine going of a jet/heli when its a certian distance off an object/ground.

If they can then yes, but i aint sure u could do it with a wreck model.

Perhaps if the helo reaches a certian damage point, the controls cut out and it starts to auto-gyro, much like it does if there is no pilot inside. It would take some scripting but it may be possible

Forcing right or left full rudder would sort of simulate the tail rotor being shot away and rotor torque spinning the helicopter around.

two blackhawks were shotdown super 6-1 was first then super 6-4 got hit
