Seriously. I would have made it again from scratch. The one I did was made as fast as possible - and its VERY noticable. It was for a tutorial (hence the speed).KP wrote:Send me the AK5, and I can have a look at it. How's that sound?
I have a lot of references uploaded along with the tutorial videos
reference_photos.rar - FileFront.com
Its not a hard weapon to do at all.

Still at the suggestions and what-is-needed? stage, so no need for that yet. In the meantime, I've been playing about with some rails and a retractable buttstock:

Give a great big huge round of applause and thanks to the guys who made the PR G3, to requiem, who approved of me getting my hands on it, and to [R-DEV]e-Gor, who sent me the files. =D

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Personally I dont think this mod will ever amount to anything - sucks, I know.mammikoura wrote:if this project is ever going to go anywhere we would probably need a design plan, some kind of a project leader etc, right?
Anyone up for it?
But we face the following problems:
- Multiple factions trying to be put into one box. (and one faction is usually hard enought to do)
- No concrete design plan - which will be hard to do due to the first arugment. (and a design plan for a project like this has to be extra tight and streamlined towards a good comprimise - and even so people will request new stuff from various of the factions involved. - which will require a determined leader that is able to put down 90% of the suggestions right away and stick to the design plan)
- No leadership
- Almost no modders, that would include me since I dont have any more PR work planned when I am done with my current projects.

well, in my opinion all we need is a project leader. Then he + other guys involved just get into x-fire or irc or ts or something and basically just make the design plan. Should include everything that needs to be done. As long as we stick to this plan everything should be ok. Then when we have a design plan we could probably get a subforum and go on from there. Probably a lot easier to get other modders interested when we actually have a design plan.
But yeah, could be a little hard to do when most people are busy with other mods. But I guess the sooner we start the better.

NATO-plank for the loss.
If you find it, gimme a shout - I'm interested in them.
The thought of creating a Norwegian ISAF faction has crossed my mind several times lately, I have to admit.
Basic kit layout:
Officer: AG-3F2 w/EOTech & vertical grip (giving less recoil?)
Rifleman/L-AT: AG-3F2 w/Aimpoint & vertical grip
"Unscoped" kits (except Crewman, no pilots needed, really): AG-3F2 w/Aimpoint (and possibly vertical grip)
Grenadier: AG-3F2 w/Aimpoint & HK79
Crewman: MP5 or MP7
Spec Ops: HK416, G36 or C8SFW w/Aimpoint & vertical grip
Designated Marksman: MSG-90, NM-149 or HK417
Sniper: AWM
Pistol for those who need it would be the Glock 17 or USP (not sure what the deployed forces use).
Soldier models would be reskinned USMC, I think.
As you can see, we'd basically have optics for every soldier (maybe not Crewman), but no scopes, which is quite different from the other factions. Also, we'd only have Insurgency maps in A-stan.
