Insurgent Weapons

I asked some guys at a forum where a bunch of vets seem to gather about small arms they've found in weapon caches, and here's a list
ppsh-41
snub nose 38 that was marked as someone's LAPD commemerative pistol
A japanese sword bayonet
Anti Tank mines
AK47
AK74
RPG 1 though RPG 5
Browning high powers
1911's
mosin nagant
1906 springfields
M1897 winchester shotties
double barreled shotguns
single barrel
stacked barrel

Thats all I can remember for now. Oh and the the Fantasy roleplaying games do have one thing right, the bad guys do tend to hide cash with the weapons. And yes the cash gets burned, well unless the Iraqi Police find it first. They call it a terrorist funded bonus.

Last bit was his not mine, so maybe we could get little stacks of iraqi money at the caches? WOuld be nice to some of these

iranian made g3 knockoffs
rpk's
pkc's
pistols of all shapes and sizes
m4s/m16s/m249s (they steal them from our guys)
grease guns
mp5s (this guy's squad found magazines for one so he says they're out there)
torkarevs
markarovs


That's about the list I've got so far, I'll update it with anything else I hear about

I think adding more tokarevs/makarovs is a good idea. Sidearms are much more concealable than a long gun, and insurgents surely prefer them in certain situations. Maybe the ambusher could be given a pistol and an outfit similar to the civi, so he's less of a suicide bomber and more of a real ambusher.

most people just kill civi's anyway.

if you try to play the "nice helpful civi" once you run out of med paks, the british will just knife you and get some tickets back. There's really barely any incentive to play the class since most people are less tactical, and more run and gun. however i did see fuzzhead in a civi squad, and it was kind hilarious watching them drive around in the cars and get demolished.

still, the ambusher idea is a good idea. rather than a pistol, maybe a SMG. give them back their AT mines also?

would be cool to have a randomised set of weapons for each relevant class of insurgent. after all, they fight with whatever they can get their hands on.

oh and ive heard about RPG-29s being used there as well, such as the case of the first ever hull breach of a chally by enemy fire.

This was to bring a list of weapons for the insurgents, rather than jsut say lets get more weapons for them

I think it was more likely a PG-7VR 105mm tandem HEAT round for the RPG-7.
