[Question] creating a commander kit?

Post by Silverballer »

Hi all. :)

First, congratulations for your mod, that is a very good job. ;)

Now, I'm working on a little mod and I would like to create a commander kit (Who is said I'm driveling ? ) and I need help (Again ? :D )

I'm sorry for eventually mistakes in this thread but I'm french and I'm not verry good in english...

So, who can explain to me how can I create this kit ?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. This probably should be moved to "community modding" so people who are more well versed will more easily see it.

Are you attempting to make your own faction for PR, or another mod completely?

You will need to look at the current kits to figure this out. They are found in:

Battlefield 2\mods\pr\objects\objects_server.zip\kit

Open up one of those folders, find a kit, drag it to notepad, and start reading. Depending on how good your english is this may or may not make sense. To be honest, some of it doesn't make sense even to native english speakers.

I can give you some more help if you need, but some more information on what you're doing would be necessary. Do you just want to change the weapons and equipment of the kit?

I know how change the weapons in the kit, I just want help for create a COMMANDER kit.. But thanks for your help. ;)

Thanks Pride, I'm going to read this. :)

EDIT : This is not that, I want to create a kit only for commanders (Officiers if you prefer...) and the soldiers can not use this kit.

And if it's possible, I want the commander can use only this kit, not the kit assault or other...
