50 Cal Gunner, Landrover

Post by DeltaFart »

I think you might want to reposition the model somehow. It kinda looks like the back of the gun is resting on the gunners chest, and when taht thing fires, I bet it would collapse his rib cage from recoil. :D Anyway to fix that? Its just an unimportant detail, but I just found it weird.

While the topic is here, please fix the open sights on the Land Rover .50 cal. It just...doesn't...work...try it in a Basrah game. The aimpoint is somewhere in the bottom or middle of the aiming pyramid; is it designed that way, or not?

The "pyramid" is the front sight, and you jsut have to guess where it will land, mostly it lands at the top of the point

Working the .50 cal these days is a bit like working AA, start shooting and adjust. I admit it's pretty annoying and I had a "wtf" moment when I saw it was no longer available to use the sights. Would be nice to bring those back.

Never noticed it before, but you're right. However, troops who have used the .50 on the board say that you are trained to pull the grips into your stomach to help control the beast, so if it wasn't modeled like that intentionally, it seems to work. Huh.

Try to use higher graphic settings (geometry, probably) and the "pyramid" will be gone.
