BF2 Screenshot's.

Post by GABBA »

I have been taking allot of screenshot's lately and NONE of them seem to be showing up in the screen shot folder. I'm doing everything right and have the right folder and button and all but they still dont show.

Could one of you guy's just run threw the whole screenshot process incase i missed something.

My keyboard is a bit weird so this may or may not apply to you.

I have a function key which pretty much means that there are two layouts for my keyboard's F-key row (including the print screen key)

I have to turn off the function key layout which loads with Windows by default, to 1. use my F-keys properly in BF2, and 2. to take print screens, which oddly enough also work only about half the time...

I can only take one screenshot at a time using the PRT SCR key. It puts my screenshot in the "cutout manager" don't know what you call it in english... and I have to paste it from there directly into photoshop or the screenshot gets lost.
So now I use FRAPS.

Yeah that would be the 'clip-board' you are referring to. Mine go directly to a folder under My Documents/Battlefield2/Screenshots

It only goes one at a time, go to paint or any other graphics programs and press edit, than paste. Its annoying but it will work everytime.

I havent taken screenshots yet, dunno why, but if they are still .tga , I suggest you download http://www.irfanview.com . You can open the .tga here and then just convert it to .gif or .jpeg.

IRT Super62:

Not true Super62, I was able to take several shots in one sitting and they were all saved to my BF2 screenshots folder automatically

Repeating the obvious but...

All BF2 screenshots are automatically saved in your 'My Documents\Battlefield 2\Screenshots' folder and are saved in both .png and .jpg formats. So 2 pics per screenshot and you can grab as many as you have space permitting.

Note: If it doesn't do that, then maybe you have some permission problems or something.

My Documents\Battlefield 2\Screenshots' - mine aren't being saved there, i was under the impression f12 took a screenshot. Am I wrong?

Yeah... old but... not a ressugestion, nor "use the search function before posting" voice ;)

About screenshots, mine rarely works cause I got Function keyboard where F keys got 2 function. If I want to take a screenshot I need to press a button on the far top right end of my keyboard(its big - so I need to get up and have 2 minute walk to get there ;P) or turn off the Function key and press F12. Most of the time I either do not turn it off or Im missing the really far button, so thats why Its not "working" most of the time ;) . If it "works" its saved to My documents.

AFAIK it's PrintScreen to capture a screenshot in default.
