Hey guys,

Just got a email from Afterdune asking to read this topic,

Some of you know most of you dont i thing so here goes.

I was the leader of the Men of Courage Mod, this mod died a lonely death allmost 2 years ago and allmost 6 months ago Afterdune contact me because he was interested in the project, after we checked out our resources and what we had left from MoC we decided to reflag the project to Qua Patet Orbis (slogan Dutch Royal Marines) and started putting back the pieces.

We aquired some very loyal new volunteers (ice_killer) but also again a lot of guys who didnt have either the right skills or motivation to put their backs in it.

So everything was set on hold until forther notice again.

I am willing to lead the mod once more but we must have people with skills and the right motivation!

With motivation i not only mean people who play, eat, dream and shit BF2 PR the whole day, you must not only love the Dutch armed forces, you must be the kind of person that askes us what to make (model for example) and make it right away, update the forum with screens at least once a week, we would love daily renders.

You must also be inventive and a good communicator, if a uvmapper got a model that has a flaw in it dont start complaining to the lead but ask the creator to fix it or fix it yourself.

@Afterdune
About that Apache Longbow, we just need to reskin it, RNLAF gets longbow version in near future, so the radar can stay :)

Made a few adaptions to the last DAF build I had and it now works in PR 0.7. As I said earlier, it's very easy. How to do it is explained in a README.txt file that comes along with the build.

Once things get rolling, data+downloads will be posted.

Celica`, die skins die je had gedaan, is dat light én heavy? En, ik heb maar heel even gekeken, maar had je de armpatches er ook op gedaan?
Zal vanmiddag/vanavond even kijken wat ik kan doen. Zal je 't resultaat wel tonen.

Ok so after the brainstorm session yesterday we came up with the following items:

The F-16B, leopard 2A6 and Apache Longbow will be skinned asap.

As soon as ice killers Chinook is done it will be skinned also.

We need to aquire or model the following models:

Weapons
Diemaco C7
Diemaco C8
Acuracy Internstional AWC
FN Herstal Minimi

Vehicles:
IFAV
Bushmaster ??
Fennek
Patria ??
CV9035

Afterdune would arrange a new FTP location so i can upload everything we have so far.

The player skins are for restyling with Celica?

Please correct me if im wrong?

So if anyone has these on the shelf for us and is willing to supply us with that or is a experienced modeller please l;et us know.

No n00bs, No wannabees, we have researchers and army, airforce and navy experts plenty so no need for that either, and were looking for a experienced mapper who would like to create Uruzgan based maps Chora and Beluchi Valley, Deh Rawood, Tarin Kowt, Kala Kala etc etc.

As far as I know, you're correct. I've added the CV9035 to the design plan now.

I missed some of the chat, because I suddenly had to leave for a while halfway, but about the Leopard, are there (Dutch) Leopards in Afghanistan at this point? If not, it's going to be lower priority and focus will be on the infantry and light vehicles.

Alleen heavy, en ik wist niet waar de armpatches moesten op de skin =D
Maar ik wil toch eerst kijken hoe dit eruit ziet zo.

The Dutch Leopard 2A6 is as for as i know not in Afghanistan, the Canadian forces have them on standby for us, you can give it a low prio but since were gonna need a tank eventually we put it on the list.

So we need a IFAV , Fennek, LSV and a CV9035 for now.

We also need to figure out what to do with the PzH2000, i know PR doesnt use artillery but this one is used as a static in Tarin Kowt (Kamp Holland) extensively,

Hehe. Goed, eerst maar es kijken hoe het eruit ziet in de editor. Daarna kun je de patches er nog wel op naaien ;) .
En komt er weer een aparte spec ops skin, net als nu? Zoja, heeft deze dan een andere skin nodig, of is het alleen een kwestie van andere armpatch? (viper-ding)

Sniper
What sniper rifle is going to be used? Celica`, you mentioned the one in the plan is old-ish. What was the new one?


Mines
The Dutch Forces are not allowed to use mines in combat, because we signed a certain agreement. Will the engineer carry something else, instead of a mine? I think he should.

His model will change as well, he can't go on carrying a mine on his back. I changed it to 'assault'. Perhaps we should make another skin, to compensate the lack of the engineer-model, just to give them different looks, you know.

Btw, ive reskinned the usmc heavy model aswell.

Ill need to check the sound guy, he is a very busy person.

About the engineer, since the mine is a anti tank mine to stop vehicles we might give him a spawnable steel vehicle barrier or something like that.

OGG-format indeed.
I thought the Dutch also use english radio commands, is that correct? For more "official" talk, so to say. Of course we'd have to redo those as well, 'cause many of us talk "boerenkool" english, lol.
