[Vehicles/Weapons] Your Two Cents On My Work

Post by [EoD-Dev]RavenOne »

First off, I'm no longer with EoD per say, and haven't been for some time.

These are some of my works in progress. I intend to use them in my own possible mod on possibly any number of new engines/games (the reason for high/higher poly count). Operation Flashpoint 2, Farcry 2, and Battlefield 3. A long time ago I had a team that worked on my mod for Battlefield 2; sadly the team broke up. So now I'm working alone here and there to model (mainly Chinese) equipment. I merely want (professional) criticism and any tips or advice you can give on my models; and of course any praises. Some of the renders are of different stages of the same model so changes are visible in some renders. I tried to have the images go from newest render to oldest render.

Also *to the devs* I don't know what your future plans are... If I cannot get my project "started" which most likely I wont, I'll be joining a team that most resembles my mods ideals and ambitions. Thanks for looking.

Thank you for your feedback. I too really like the 99G as a tank; thats why I modeled it. It might not be the best in the world but its still up there. The Chinese know what there doing, or atleast are well on the right track.

Nice looking models indeed. If you ever need models for your future or present mods you can use some of mine. Look through the site for my work and PM me if you're interested in a particular work.

Looks awesome. I'd open up the Loader's hatch on the Abrams and toss a M240 there.

they looks really good, but the AK is a bit bland, and the m1a2. assuming they are WIP, everything looks swell.

awsome, the only problem i see with the T-99 is, that it might be to highpoly for bf2, otherwise the devs are stupid, when they do not ask you to join *thumbsup*

I'll restate a few things real fast. There all still WIP's all though the ZTZ-99G is basically done; I just keep finding myself always changing and altering things over time. The AK-47 is still very much a WIP I still have a ton of little things to do on it. As for the M1A2, the turret isn't mine; as I stated before, its Battlefield 2's. I'm only using it as a placeholder until I model one for now. I still have a ton to do on the M1A2 model; all though, in my opinion it already looks a lot better then Battlefield 2's chassis.

And thanks 77SiCaRiO77 for telling me. Are you Chinese? Or in the general region? Or just a general fan of Chinese stuff? I knew of the other models but from what I've know and seen the two lower model turrets of the top four are for the ZTZ-96G's only... I could be very wrong though. I've been image searching for a few years now of Chinese equipment; sadly I've lost a lot of files do to a reformat I was forced to do thanks to a bad virus. This very model you see was finished before but I didn't have it backed up and was forced to redo it; luckily I had a older model backed of it backed up. Better then starting from scratch! I like this model better anyways. Oh yea, also to restate something, the models are NOT for Battlefield 2! Thanks again for posting.

Brummy.UK I like your sig. I have that very image. However I like another one showing them in another pose. Here's my two favorites of images of those same men. The soldier on the left in the second image reminds me of metal gear solid or something; very cool looking.

Your models are looking good; just have one critique. The AK47 has a fixed stock, yet it appears to have the underfolder mechanism in place at the rear of the reciever.

i don't know if it's possible to enlarge textures and models, but a redo of tanks would be so awesome for .8 (actually real life sized tanks omg would be so sweet)

and great models a bit of topic before my apologies

Well if I can finish up the M1A2 chassis and PR wants to use it as a replacement for Battlefield 2's M1A2 chassis I'd allow it.

Also with my AK-47 render, that piece your referring to isn't finished. Its where a strap can be hooked onto for shoulder carrying; or at least I think it is. The overall intention is to make the AK modular. Be able to change butt stocks and stuff. The AK is still far from done. I've just got the basic layout of stuff started thats all. The M1A2 is the same way, I've still got a lot of work to do on it.

Speaking of M1's why hasn't PR used USI's M1A1 model, its pretty good looking and it is still used by Marines... Or so I think.
