Bandages

Post by Expendable Grunt »

One simple idea:
Left Click -- Throw Bandage
Right Click -- Bandage Self

No more bandages clipping through catwalks pl0x.

Maybe make it act more like the aid kit, you have to hold it to a player to use it on them, but when you've done so, it's gone. And likewise to healing yourself, look down, and click. A bit simpler, and maybe a bit more realistic, cause I haven't really ever seen a marine throw a bandage over a short fence to someone who needs it.
Correction, I have never heard of it before, it might have happpened a number of occasions, but I doubt it's done that often.

Plus its not exactly sterile throwing a bandage on the ground and rolling on it till it sticks to your gaping wound

Wow what an excellent idea. Must see this implemented. Along with a 15% increase in Medkit healing ability. Then all would be good for the Medkit portion of the game.

I'm not sure if this has come up but does anyone else have this long delay in bandage throwing then when it does throw it looks like you have thrown 2 but one disappears.

Good idea with the right click I want to see it implemented.

Double-grenades (/bandages/ammo bags/) and strange looking delay are a BF2 bug afaik. Happens with grenades usualy, but may also happen with other stuff.

Yeah that's probably a know bug, I've seen it enough times myself at least.

I think this has been brought up before, perhaps in a different context, but is a good thing to mention none the less (you'd hope the developers had some kind of big notes thread in their secretive sub-forums but we can't be too sure :p ).

No, I think the bandage delay was added intentionally just like the nade delay. I don't like the fact that there is essentially a double delay throwing them though.

Great solution to the magical disappearing bandages! It's terrible having my pack disappear and I end up bleeding to death. :(

As for the double, it happens in BF2 as well, especially when you're lagging. Before I upgraded, two med packs and grenades would always be thrown, but only one would be there after its doppleganger disappeared.
