This is the absolute best weapon the PLA force gets in PR. It's got a good ROF, it's easy to control even on all out full auto, and you can empty the ENTIRE 80 round magazine (80, right?) without stop and it never overheats; something I don't think the M249 or HK21 can do.

One slight observation, though. The "Modern Firearms" website says the QBB-95 is selective fire; will we ever get that option? I am assuming it would be a single/full configuration.

I don't like it. Too accurate for good suppresive fire imo. The SAW you can get a good spread with, this things more like a full-auto assault rifle.

Keep it full auto and leave the no-overheat. Gives some variety to the weapons.

To be honest none of the SAW's should overheat. But this topic is about how aweshens the QBB-95 is.

I'd honestly like to se some sort of spread with the LMGs, the recoil on these things are collective, but in game a man can snipe with em (ive seen it done to a friendly squad, was watching the whole thing from inside the back of a helo, with binocs(I had a kit that couldn't reach out) and this LMG guy just sits there sniping from hill

That said, I find this a fun lmg, not as annoying with overheat as the others when the need arises for such firepower

I mean, yes, MG barrels get hot, and generally, you then have to replace, because AFAIK, that heat causes the destruction of the barrel threads--or it might just make the barrel expand unevenly and therefore be inaccurate. I don't know which.

However, the inability to replace the barrel seems like a bad reason to make the weapons overheat, especially in as few rounds as they do. The original M60s burned through barrels in about 100 rounds I believe, but since then heat dissipation has been a priority in MGs, so I assume almost all these weapons can fire 200+ rounds (especially the .50s) without overheating.

So, again, why do we have overheating? If someone chucks out the word "balance", they'd better be able to back it up.

QBB95 is quite a lovely weapon

Especially in PR. But it's more of a LSW rather than a SAW.

IRL, it is very maneuverable and light, in fact it weight about the same as a M16 when loaded. It does have a fire selector and has the options of Auto/Semi/Safety. The switch is located on the back portion of the bullpup stock (Switch highlighted in red):

The QBB95 actually feels like a real gun whereas the QBZ95 is so light it feels like a plastic water gun.

The major faults of the QBB95 (according to internet sources) are: Hard to shoot with the 75 round drum and there are little interchangeable parts with the other 95 family weapons. Other than that, it's peachy

I don't know what is wrong with me, but I suck with Chinese weapons, don't know if the it is the Iron sights or the scope or recoil or something but I have an impulse to pick up an enemy kit when I get the chance.

The Chinese have the best weapons ingame IMO except for the Light MG. The SAW takes that one.

Really? I thought the whole point of the 95 family weapons was to be esensially the same internals with a few differences (heavier barrel for the QBB for instance).

No, the bright minds at NORINCO probably had their minds on money rather than logical hardware, or I don't know... But there are few parts that can be interchanged between qbz95/qbb95/qbu88/qbz95b. with these weapons, you can't tear off the barrel off of one gun and stick in another one. This is because even though internally the system are all very similar, all their body designs are slightly different and all the triggering mechanism are of different sizes. There are many improvements such as interchangeable parts or integrated scope/rail system that could have been (in my opinion) easily added but was not.
