Now i am fully aware that is possible to create naval units and im sure its been suggested.
But what about the art of underwater modding? For example combat divers for a spec ops map, or having troops swim under swamps in order to cover there river crossing.
Even submarines much like 1942.
Naval units is the only thing thats really missing in PR. For example rather then relying on Aircraft for support (which often goes unasered as a lot of pilots dont do as they are told). Calling in Artillery support from 5inch guns on a destroyer? These could be spotted like we already have with binocs or similar.
jst an idea

The whole point of PR is that it has very little focus on these kinda Navy SEALS and other such spec ops units, so that's not a very good reason. As has been mentioned maps are too small aswell and due to the 8 person limit there's no point in large landing craft so beach invasion is out the window too. Also ship based fire support comes in from a VERY long way nowadays so that's another possibility that's not gonna happen in PR unless it's used as a commander asset.

It has been mentioned several times over and in regard to naval vessels and divers.
I am surprised to be writing here and that it hasnt been locked already!
But since I am here....I think it would be an awesome and dynamic addition.
But it would take two things for it to happen....an increase to more than 64 person servers and larger maps with a different water profile in the way of being able to have people swimming underwater.
I think it would add more realism if the carrier were moving at sea.
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" a vessel that could fire Tomahawks.
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" a vessel that could fire the MK 110.
If the carrier could be moved....pilots would have to check radar for location to land instead of just knowing where to go from having played a map over and over and over. The same goes with putting troops on solid ground....the distances would be changing.....and it would take a different type of strategy to be able to take one part of the map over the other based on ship positioning.
Make them sinkable as well.
Loss of your forward base (your ships) would mean loss of the round.
This way you would have to designate some of your troops for defense instead of everyone pushing inland.
Tomahawks fired from a cruiser would be a very good addition for obvious reasons, but would have to limited....for obvious reasons.
An MK 110 would be very realistic as well. It is a fact that in modern times we are less dependent on naval gunfire than we were in WWII....but it is still used regularly and can be fired very precisely with smaller munitions. There are many maps that this could be applied to.
Sooo much is possible if under-water swimming was possible. Waterborn insertions, infiltrations, attacks on ships, the imagination can run wild!
