I am getting the general feeling that some of you people are divided between "letting everyone get a chance, if they have practiced a bit" and "ceding air assests to talented pilots who've already established themselves a reputation, in order to help the team".

Theres no respect for those who have waited for a plane for 20 mins. don't say i shouldn't stand around not contributing because us pilots if good contribute alloot to the team. respawn time should be reduced or admins should me more strict and kick for this kind of disgusting disrespect that you get when a vehicles is 'stolen'. thats nilla noobs for ya.
That right there is the exact definition of what "nilla noobs" are to me. They sit around wasting a teams slot for 20 mins to get the "cool powerful vehikalz" for their own fun without having any consideration for their team. That's why I'm all for the rule of 'whoever gets in gets it' because that allows people to just spawn and hop in which they should have the privilege to do since just before they were obviously just contributing to their team.

Mod the server rank system so that when you get up to a certain rank for performing helpfull duties you gain access to the pilot kit of which ther are only like 6 in total.

and yes if it was changed to this, the pilot kit would be snatched up at the very beginning by experianced players and newbies. SO on that note i dont know how to fix that. maybe it could be fixed by pilot kits only being accessable in intervils of seconds, like there being a number of seconds in between each pilot kit is distributed. donno if this is a hardcoded thing or not. but it might help.

in the end, this should filter the desire to go... spawn...
"Oooh lookie that, an A-10, i think ill go try and bomb somthing"

but i think i heard that they are making specific kits only accessable when a commander is allowing it. could be wrong, its a thought though.

oh my god, i see all those commanders who don't care who's flying getting yelled at for not giving the kit to:
uberPilot: "COMMANDER!!!! <<<<<---- P1L07, ME!!!!!11111"
(on the other hand, denying kits to certain ppl that have proven unworthy of is kinda neat (admin replacement) - but then i'd like to ask you how many smacktard commanders have you had already? - i had several (AND NO MUTINY BUTTON!)

or just one guy flying all the time because his buddy is commander

limiting the pilot kit would reward those 20-min-nothing-doers  (grab pilot kit (ha noone else can grab the next plane), can't do anything with just a pistol and don't want to lose it, therefore wait 20 min)

- this thread is really a tough one

I say let the assets to those who can.
Otherwise, practice to the max.
-Offline (D/L the Kashan training map)
-LAN/hamachi with friends
-Play with your clan, team, organisation etc
-Mess around with your own edited maps and vehicles.
-In the case of a transport or light attack(LBz), either crew the chopper with them or watch from the passenger seat to get a good feel.

-Set up a private server with an edited config, allowing short spawns for vehicles and players (it MUST be a privately locked server, otherwise the DEVs have the right to take you offline via legal actions, unless you have permission from the DEV team)

You'll know when your good enough, because you dont crash.
For choppers, you should be able to land anywhere you want, comming in at a steep or gradual descent.
For jets, you can fly it low and fast through some rugged terrain.
I'd say that constitutes being able to get into an aircraft.

Also, have respect for those that have waited a while. They usually tend to be the best, as they have dedicated themselves to the role. Even more so, those that have dedicated a squad to it (as long as they have not created a second air squad, for the same role).

Oh, and dont SOLO attack choppers. There is ALWAYS a willing gunner.

Im starting to see some off-topic guyz. Less of it would be nicer.
