Objective-based maps...
...would be a nice feature for PR.
Like having to blow up a cache of weapons
Secure an extraction point
Defend a mosque
Defend a strategically important bridge
Destroy a bridge (or bridges)
etc
It would consolidate the combat, thus making it more intense (IMO)
Also, is it possible to have it so there is a ratio of 2:1 for the teams (on certain maps)? I think it would be rather enjoyable to have a team of Navy SEALs fighting against a much larger force of MEC. In return, the SEALs would have much better weapons (such as a HMMWV with a Mk19) and more ammunition.

yes yes yes, im all for something like this if its possible. i know there is a mod out there that is counter strike based, and the match ends when a certain thing gets blown up, and it takes 5 things of c-4 to blow up. so that is probably a possibility. the team ratio change would be cool also. id like to see two full squads of marines (12 players)(i know thats not a real squad size either) versus say 24-30 ill fitted MEC guys in a stage like karkand, where the marines have to capture points in a certain order.

All those things are possible (some even by simple Conquest design).
The problem with a 2:1 ratio is that it assumes equal skill between the teams (or rather, it assumes a certain skill). That's is generally never the case, so it becomes a little complicated. If the navy seals fought a large force but plain sucked as a team, the game would end quickly. I think its much better to balance them off while maintaining a 1:1 ratio. For example, Seals could have better equipment, but Insurgents/Rebels/Terrorist/Muppets could have MORE equipment. For example alot more jeeps with machineguns. More RPG style weaponry for several of the classes. Better spawn positions. Etc and so on.

i like the idea of mission based maps as they have different ways of assault.
Harrod200:"Fire.exe has committed an illegal operation and has been shut down"
Raniak : "Warning: May crash if fired upon."
M4sherman: "like peter pan but with tanks"

Yeah, more planning would go into the mission-based maps.
When someone brought up the Mk19 suggestion, alot of you thought it was too powerful for the maps, but if the force using it is highly outnumbered, I think that it's okay to use.

If you guys put the MK 19 GMG in maps like this where one side has weapon advantages (US) and the other has advantage in numbers, better spawn points, ect (MEC) then I would hope the maps where numbers and weapons are equally matched PRMM dev team can put in the XM 307 OCSW air bursting grenade machine gun :}

Bah, that's boring. That and it is a mod, IIRC. We need maps that will work in both BF2 and PRMM that involve more interesting things than blowing up things like the commander's assets. I want to blow up strategic things, like towns, bridges, and ships.

they would be left searching for their teamates dead bodies
and running right into the opposing side that just killed your buddies! (and being that they are searching for ammo in the first place, theyd probly be stuck with their pistol
