setting vehicle speeds
wondering if its possible to set the acceleration speed by pressing 0-9 so 1 would be 10% thrust, 2 = %20, and it would hold there until the player hits w or s, or some other button stating its going back to manual, it would be great for aircraft so they can easily keep a steady speed and tanks too it would make them much more steady instead of going from no speed to full speed.

Welcome to the forum
I suggested this a while ago, its best to use a joystick throttle atm.

Yeah, it is. Unfortunately my joystick's a tad large to just pop it onto the desk when I'm driving a vehicle - and I find that actually, having a bit more control over the throttle is good when going off-road.
Like if you're going over bumps, for example - stop accelerating just before you hit them, and don't until you're down the other side. Far less chance of damaging the vehicle, and you hardly loose any speed compared to if you hit it at full whack which nearly always brings up the lil red bar of ouch.

Mmm? Double post? What double post?
Doubt it's hardcoded - you'd just need to set Forward and Reverse to Throttle+ and Throttle- in your vehicle controls.

Oh, you mean the OP's suggestion.
Yeah, I'd've thought it's almost certainly hardcoded. I meant the using the throttle isn't
