Well the American system if you write out your dates in the same manner, personally I don't.
Its the 13th of March 2008. Not March 13, 2008.
And the British system is obviously correct, I mean, we did invent time after all.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Time was invented in Britain. Thats why all time is +/- GMT, which is internationally recognized as "zero".Tef wrote:Bob you did not invent time and before you say you did not invent math either.
Now, GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time. Greenwich, where time was invented, is in Britain (thats why the Greenwich Meridian goes through London)
can anyone tell I'm not entirely serious yet?

Ok you have a point there but time to copy/pasta:
EDIT: I'm not sure how reliable that sauce was though, it should be alright though. The concept of time is one which has perhaps been in existence ever since mankind began to evolve. Time is mentioned in the first book of the bible with the world being created in 6 days and the Lord resting on the seventh. But time precedes this, and has always been measured, whether by marking the changes of the moon or the tides of the sea.
Time featured within both Egyptian and Roman civilisations, but some Stone Age cave paintings indicate that seasons were already being monitored and recorded. Time would have been important to people even in those times, in order to know when to sow, nurture and then harvest crops.
The Romans are generally credited with dividing up time as we know it today and they had sundials depicting hours and they regulated days and months as well as years.
However each civilisation, no matter how remote and uncivilised will have had some means of measuring time, even if the time was measured in different units, so no single culture or epoch can take absolute credit for 'inventing' time.

lol bob, if I realized you weren't serious without reading the invisi-text do I get a gold star or something? Too bad I didn't have something witty to say about it.
Anyhow, it's clear that the american way is better, because that's what we're using (even though the majority of the DEVs/MODs are brits I believe <---not supported by any statistics).

So wasn't there this very funny post that was like a letter from the British to the US that was complaining about a lot of things that the Amis do/write/whatever different than the British, mainly about the language but also there was American Football, and it was funny as hell.
Anyone remember that?
