My Cobra vs 2 Havoc, 1 AA, and 1 APC...

i was able to handle the 2 Havocs (while i was pilot...) both down by Hydras or AAs... APC was down by the Hellfire but the AA had me before i was able to drop flairs..

Other one:

My Tank team (me, a friend and a engenier) vs. 3 tanks @ Kashan i was gunner and we was driving while we are shooting the tanks... We downed all 3 and we have get 3 hits to our front.. we always hide behind anything we were able to see...

Got to be the 12 vs 12 round on Ejod when as MEC I ran round the corner of a large building just south of Gardens where the USMC forces were healing each other up and spreading ammo around prior to assaulting the Gardens.

I ran round through smoke and as trusty engineer I threw C4 into the middle of the entire enemy force and detonated it, wiping their side of the scoreboard to grey!

EJOD Desert, firefight between gardens (under USMC control) and north base (under MEC control).

That was awsome ! A lot of bullets flying every direction, tanks comming for support and soon destroyed for a new enemy tank and ... imagine a fu*** hard firefight in that place !

Kashan Desert - Jonny's Light Vehicle Mod

The way PR should be played imho - multiple firefights that felt realistic, moreso than any I've seen in any game.
For example, a firefight between USMC on the MEC flag and MEC on the hills was so prolonged with no confirmed fatalities that a blackhawk had to be called in to clear the hills of hostiles. And even that was inconclusive with the Hawk retreating, fresh MEC using a Vodnik from range to suppress the flag for some minutes before attempting a careful attack that stalled, and the MEC actually fell back to regroup with reinforcements before trying again.
It was perfection - a virtual combat experience that was finally getting away from the 5 frags a minute shooter that PR can be. To actually be in a fullscale infantry battle online and survive more than 20 minutes is something special

Hm, Ejod Dessert not long ago, Mec trying to hold on to North Dessert, just got an Anti-Tank kit and was racing from cover to cover. The two tanks on our side got taken out while I was running, explosions and tracers everywhere...epic stuff.

Then there was a fight on Al Basrah a while ago, with me on the British side. A couple of landies and around 10 grunts assaulting Village from the east, with what seemed like half the Insurgent team defending. I'd hop on a Landie and open up on a house only to see 2 RPGs flash right past me. Those Saws were damn useful, and when we finally got some L-AT kits to take on the houses we slowly forced them back. Was epic though, awesome fight.

Agree!!!! Basrah is always good for heavy firefights when the brits have to move from building to building and are under heavy fire from granate lunchers, pkms and the loved rpg7. I really love this map... plz give us the patch fast... want to play this map without servercrash :D

Well Mine is the same firefight. here is the AAR:

Al Basrah
19:00 Hours

As we moved through the same patty fields and moved to check a small village west of the center city. We started to get light PKM and small arms fire from a 2 story building in the village. A 3 man fireteam flanked and destroyed the building and all inside with a LAW. As we all regrouped and pushed in we found no cache or anything. Then as we were leaving and regrouping at are RP with are 2 Land Rovers and 1 CO truck we took several RPG's from the south. As we moved we started getting more and more small arms fire. Once I(SL) found were they were coming from I sent a 3 man fireteam to move towards and make a break for the rest to get a new RP up. Once deployed we attacked. As moving across a road I regrouped with a pinned down technoelite at a car. He was getting PKM fire through the car.

After I stood up to cover another person I got a AK round to the head and was KIA. We then called in a IFV and APC for armor surpport. Both did great till the insrgents got more RPG's at the area. At the moment we were flanking and still fighting and we relized no help was ever coming I gave my first ever order in PR to retreat. Once pulling back i asked for ammo count. Everyone had less then 50 rounds. No Grenades, smoke, AT rockets, and pistol mags. Once we got ammo we going to head back in then a jihad car attaked us from behind.
LtSoucy
Opreal 172nd SCT

Thats my best firefight ever in PR. Are totals for the battle were:

British:10 KIA, 2 APCs lost and 1 IFV
Inrsgents:50+ KIA, 10 cars lost.

Al Bashra again :)

There were 2 caches left, both of them were close to each other but we never thought they are SO close.

Insurgent reinforced themselfs in 2 two storey buildings in villege. Whole insurgent team. Behind them were empty green fields. Everything that apeared there was instantly blown or shot. So after a few atacks from that direction we stopped and were moving through the villege having moderate cover in the buildings.
The 2 insurgent ocupied buildings were almost completly destroyed by APC and LAW 80 fire. But still insurgents somehow managed to hold on there. We couldnt get close enough.

Imagine constant fire, bullets flying ALL the time, you are moving from cover to cover, supressed, returning fire hiding, slowly advancing. Everything lasted for about 40 minutes to an hour, I cant really tell it was very intense.

Finally me and other guy, he was an Automatic Rifleman (AR) and me engiee managed to infiltrate the enemy possition from behind. We crouched our way through the desert hiding behind moulds of sand, then through the green fields. We were so close, insurgents running next to us, never paying attention what is under their feet. They were hurrying with their PKMs, RPG's amd molotovs to get to those 2 buildings and enter the fight.

My heart pounding, pure adrenaline now circulating through my veins, we kept moving, freezing from time to time when insurgent was looking at us, sure we've been spotted, but hopping we were not... Suddenly! An insurgent just run onto my companion AR, insurgent was so suprised that he didnt fired straight away. He was just staring on him, and AR was starring back too afraid to realize he should pull the trigger...

My knife glittered for a second in the morning light before going through the tissue and veins, silencing this insurgent foreve... another 30 seconds ;) We thought we were compromised. We stopped the urge to just get up and run away... No insurgents came for us, none were looking for us less looking in our direction. They were too bussy with the frontal atack.

We continued and then... THERE IT WAS!!! In the middle of the green field we stumbled on a cache. C4 in place, now extraction, slowly, through another green field that was just next to this one... and then... ANOTHER CACHE... what a luck! Another C4. Exfiltrating to the nearby building, slowly, not to give our possition away. All the time we heard explosions of RPGs, constant fire of AK, PKMs and british rifles more far away. Finally at the bulding... I squized the button with all the energy and adrenaline that was in me. Both C4 exploded destroying the caches...

Brits could finally go home knowing that this place will be safer thanks to them for another... few minutes of loading time ;)

Dyum warmagi I wish I had rounds like that the closest thing to that would be a round on Al Basrah and I was an insurg. and the brits started advancing on us so it was pretty long and drawn out but fun, especially when I grabbed pkm to lay down the supression.

Well i guess it was in Al Bashra.I was a Brit, and me and 2 more guys were guarding the Front Gate to the base.It was pretty intense,we had a lot of suicide bomber attacks.Of about 15,12 were destroyed,2 others went in but died before they reached the goal, and only one managed to blow up a truck and 3 soliders. Also at one point we were under heavy attack,by about 5 insurgents, and a couple of technicals. We managed to hold them off until we got reinforced by an APC and another squad. It was really great teamwork. :)

Qwai river, for Mine,
having just tested new build for patch i still had some of the new 'things' still running

I had LAT and was told to stay in the tower watching the road coming up to mine, i had some ammo dropped off for me aswell so i had more than 1 LAT, the rest of my squads locks themselves inside the Mine,
for about 5mins or so there was absloutly no action, then 1 or 2 infantry start running up the raid in the open, check there not friendlys and hop on the emplaced SAW and they get mowed down, soon this followed by the rest of the squad also running up the road but in the dead ground that i couldnt see but soon they start poppin shots at me and trying to use smoke, i managed to pick them 1 by 1, anyway for about 10mins it was just me using the emplaced SAW.
finally they brought up some support, an APC, but luckily i still had my LAT, so brought it out and took a pot shot from the tower to the gate *edge of view distance* and managed to kill it in 1... WOOP!
after that there was a bit of a lul in enemy activity, chattin to rest of squad who were havin a laugh at my girly screams due to the new *stuff* that were still runnin.

after about a 10minute lull in activtity started to take shots from the hills, and then from the road.... so basically im trapped in the tower with the *new stuff* with 2 support gunners shooting at me... and then nades, and finally LAT started hittin my tower, rest of my squad was just laughin there *** of with how much **** was just hittin my tower and my whimpering inside :o

after about 5mins of intense battering of my tower one of there squads tried to have a go at mine, with me still in the tower so i positioned myself so i could see the mine itself, as i had another LAT from the ammo bag i was laughin to myself as i saw around 5 of the squad running up the ramp onto the roof, kneel up take aim whooosshhhhh 5 kills :D

continued being pellted by 2 squads, moving round my tower to find good spot to shoot back and they shot my legs that were stickin through the wall... :(

EDIT: sorry had a driving lesson :-D

Another Basrah-story coming up...

Someone mentioned before that the area between the village and Basrah city is one of the hottest areas´on the map. I've gotta say that I agree.

One of the most memorable firefights in this area that I've experienced was one just one british squad fanatically defended their RP against constant attacks about three insurgent squads.
I was with the insurgents. We had a couple of PKMs stationed out for cover fire and the order I had given my squad was to just run like hell in the open terrain and try to get to the enemy RP! :o
The PKM cover fire really wasn't that effective and we constantly go mourned down by an enemy SAW. I'm suprised that my squad didn't execute me for giving idiotic orders or something, but they kept fighting fanatically. Not one step backward! Everything to defend Al Basrah against the imperialist invaders! :o

The whole squad used all of their molotivs and soon the area looked like one of the hotter parts of hell; piles of insurgent corpses, large areas of fire and burning British vehicles!

This heroic British squad really gave our team a hard time. They fought 'til the last man! I was impressed. Their will to die for their cause was just as big as it was in the insurgent squads attacking.

The British team made an effort to help this doomed squad. One Schimitar and a couple of land rovers made their way to this hot area and for a couple of minutes it looked like we wre going to have to retreat - but one heroic ambusher managed to blow up the enemy IFV with his IEDs, killing himself in the process (this was, of course, followed up with alot of "ALLAHU AKHBAR" in the chat), and we took care of the land rovers with our molotovs.

The fight with the doomed British squad kept going for a couple of minutes more before I managed to take out their RP with my beloved knife. One Merlin was sent to extract the few heroic survivors, but it was taken down by an insurgent RPG.

The battle for this completely unimportant area just west of Basrah city was over...

I want to thank everyone that participated in this heroic battle, whether they were brits or part of my own team!

My biggest firefight was in Basrah.. :)
Insurgent, Ambusher squad..back in 0.6 when ambushers had shotgun.
We were directly outside the Airport, we had 1 civilian, ambusher[me] and regular gunman, I layed down a mine in the middle of the road so it will be visible to vehicles then I placed 2 more mines directly to the left and right of the mine at the road but outside the road so vehicles trying to avoid the mine will hit another one.
I drop another C4 on the side near a bump in the ground, a civilian stood on it to lure unsuspecting British soldiers.
From distance we see APC & 2 Land Rovers exiting the airport..you could easily tell that they were highly organized..lets pretend they were Commandos :)
APC driving first and behind him 2 Land Rovers, the APC spots the Civilian but keeps going forward..then he stops directly in front of the mine, and takes a detour to avoid the mine via right..then he hits my mine and explode - meanwhile the two Land Rovers had kept some distance from us.
So he explodes, we got up from our cover and started spraying..I unloaded with my shotgun on the APC wreck.
The two Land Rovers started moving forward while firing from 50cal and we were laying down, one Land Rover heads directly to the civilian hiding the C4..the civilian tells me to explode the C4 as the Land Rover is there..I explode and bang - kills the Land Rover and the two operators.
In the distance we started hearing a helicopter but no body spotted it..we were to busy fighting the 2 remaining British guys.
As the battle advances another Land Rover comes..only to hit my mine in the middle of the road that the APC avoided.
Now theres a Merlin flying above us with some guy shooting at us from it! ofcourse he wasn't accurate..I take aim at him with my shotgun..this is at considerable distance..at least 100m - unload a full magazine and suddenly I see a corpse dropping down from the Merlin and the helicopter retreating..what a lucky shot :)
We finished the survivors and head back to our technical to escape..then we get hit by a rocket that finished us and finished that Ambush.
This fight lasted well over 10 minutes.
