Yes yes its true youtube does have a option to have better sound and video quality its only hidden until now

.

Put &fmt=18 to the end of any youtube URL you want to see.

Example:

Original Video URL:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kFe-ITY_Do - witch is in "low" quality

Higher Quality Video URL:

Code: Select all

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kFe-ITY_Do&fmt=18 - Now its in "high" quality

It works on all videos as far as i know

.

Oh and i recommend kliking on the first resize button, otherwise the video will be stretched.

"old" videos won't suddenly appear in better quality but new videos will (provided the source is of high quality).

it does work i tried it with a video i uploaded an when i uploaded it i thought well %$@! why is the quility so poor
so i read this thread and go back to the poor video and add the suffix on to the url and it is like a new video
