Well, the size seems about right then, but seriously, being able to ride around on it like a circling hoverboard is beyond ridiculous :B

Its hard to tell the size when its flying around, I too was surprised when I first saw the size it actually was a few months back, with somebody standing next to me.

well the only ones that I saw looked like large remote controlled airplanes similar to what ops just posted. I never saw those really big ones while I served. We didnt have neat toys like that in the marines.

Both the Pred and Global were on Discovery recently, the Pred looks about the right size TBH (one thing BF2 has got right up until now is scale)

These are the ones they're using in Iraq and Afghanistan... which should be used in-game, NOT the huge one running right now. Which again, is WAY too big. Commander suse these to scout the battlefield DURING combat engagements. Which is mainly how it's used in-game.

The other unmanned style crafts are for recon of an area days, weeks, and even months before engagements, or even just for sh*ts and giggles (the intelligence community might just search and area to get a feel for what's going on but it wouldn't be used directly in an operation).

The UAV in-game clearly shows just a small area, and is pretty broad. It doesn't zoom in and show details it just spots red dots. The craft in the image above is perfect for that task, as that's what Marine and Army commanders used throughout Iraq. I was there and saw just one in operation... but I know of some intel guys that ran that thing daily.

yeh UAV's with Hellfires on them are the future. If I remember correctly, a Predator fired at a jeep in the Oman carrying high ranking Al Qaeda officers, and nailed them all :D

I think BF2 selected the Pred mainly for looks - the one for the job would be seen by the ignorant as a kit job from the hobby shop.
