Ok,
I kinda agree with the fact that support gunner now doesnt get an ammo bag as the role should be mainly for suppression fire (using the new effect to its max...).
But what I kinda dont understand is the Rifleman kit w/optics getting an ammo bag. It kind of seems to me that it makes the Rifleman w/iron sites kit kinda redundant. The two kit loadouts are now identical except that one kit has the ACOG scope and the other doesnt.
Just wondering if any changes are going to be made to either rifleman kit to mix it up a bit for .8 (apologies if this has been covered before but ive looked around the forum and no one has mentioned this yet)

You;re thinking about this the wrong way - the rifleman with irons and with scope are the same kit with a different AR sight to cater for different preferences. Without the ability to use the BF2 'unlock weapon' function, this was the simplest way of doing it, by having both options available in the spawn screen.

Thanks Bosco for the link - i really should look outside of the "General Discussion" section more often...
I hear what your saying too skeletor - its all about personal preference. And i guess when theres a couple more urban maps the rifleman w/iron sights will be a more favoured kit...but at the min I cant think off too many maps (bar a few 16player maps) where i would pick the iron sights rifleman loadout over the ACOG. But i suppose its good to have a choice. I guess im just being greedy asking for varations in the kits....
Upon thinking about it though I am glad that the ACOG rifleman loadout now has ammo as i would say 60-70% of players use that kit at the min = more ammo for the team. A lot less running around trying to find an automatic rifleman to reload my AT

I still want to know why they couldn't make the default server status "Global Unlocks 1".$kelet0r wrote:You;re thinking about this the wrong way - the rifleman with irons and with scope are the same kit with a different AR sight to cater for different preferences.
