new ammo system...
I've got to say I dont like the new ammo system much, in .7 you HAD to have a supportgunner/unscoped rifleman in your squad to be effective (the latter which was hardly ever used making machinegunners invaluable, now, without their ammo bag they lost half their soul and purpose). Reloading your own ammo bag was possible and any kind of ammo gain thook it's time, now the bag stays only for 2-3 secs before youre fully stocked, and with the scoped rifleman w/ammo beeing the default kit for most players the bag spamming have no end :S. Maps like EJOD and Kashan desert are frikkin littered with ammo boxes everywhere, both infantry and jeep/APC ones, ammo conservation is ancient history and nade-spamming has become a violent disease. I already miss the old system, anyone who agrees?

I disagree.
The Automatic Rifleman now fulfill (one of) their realistic role: give suppressing and covering fire for their squad. Even without the ammo bag, the AR is much needed if not a necessity in a squad due to the suppression effect.
The ammo bag like you said has been down-graded just like you've described, but that just means you have to think before throwing that bag down. With that said, if the map is littered with ammo bags (which I've yet to see and I've play alot... almost too much) than chances are the riflemen probably don't have their ammo bag in reserve and would not be ready when an emergency situation and I'm sure people will realize that. If the riflemen did retrieve their ammo bag and left the used one around then this should not lead to much a problem because they will (like you said) have a low lifetime or small amount of munition left. Therefore, Munition conservation still exists to the same degree if not more so than in 0.7
Finally, I personally don't think grenade spam would be much of a problem considering their decreased range and the addition of deviation. This means that to throw a grenade at a enemy, you need to get pretty close and throw. This, the detonation time and the pause between each throw means you are vulnerable during quite sometime. Therefore, unless you are throwing behind a obstacle or with someone covering you and your enemy is pined, trapped, or confused, grenade spamming would be difficult.

I disagree that the soul of the AR rifleman is gone. Supression any1?!
Having ammoboxes littered about the battlefield? Kinda like disarded mags and other pieces of kit.
Grenade spamming is the only place you haev a point, but as far as I know it was decided that you couldn't have an ammo bag for ammo type Y. So the bag does more good than bad imo.

What is the maximum range of a thrown grenade assuming no jumping or prone. Just standing still and throwing it at a 45 degree angle upward.
If I can't throw that grenade at least 20-30m then I must have thrown my arm out in the Minors.
Anything more than that is admittedly a hail mary pass and only actually skilled people could place it within a few feet of an intended target at that range. You try throwing a iron weighted baseball 40m and hit a 10 foot radius circle.

This is the most real !
By the way, it isnt that realistic in SWAT4. More than in BF2 of course, but when you put a fresh mag in, why do you only have 30 rounds? There should still be one in the weapon, plus 30 new ones. Its good, but not the most real ever. And hardcoded.

So what are the new changes? Ingame i only encountered that ammo bags are faster empty. You are still able to reload LAT's HAT's from ammo bags.
But how do i get ammo from the cars? Which is new (actually old). So what cars? Civ cars and support trucks too? And can you rearm from the doors of the car and not from the back like in 0.5? Havent tried it yet, but couldnt find it anywhere how to do it. Thanks alot!

Well, there's shown all magazines, and bullets left in them <<<Spec_Operator wrote:Hard coded.

And you just switch from mag to mag, what is the unrealistic
In BF2 you just waste whole mag by "throw to nowhere"
