Music from vehicles, like in BFV

Post by Stealth-Opertive »

Would it be possible to put that into the PR game. If you've played Battlefield:Vietnam you'd know that you can play music from your vechles so the people all over the battlefield can hear it, That was pretty cool. I'd love to see that in PR, what about you people?

Been suggested before (Try searching) and I don't think it will ever be in PR

Dumb poll.

Doesn't even vaguely fit into PR.

really not at all realistic, let alone the fact its not really possible in the same way it was in BFV, thou we do have some radio chatter in some vehicles but thats as far as we are going to go.

Nothing like the old days of BFV when you use to see a tank rolling down a road with its radio blaring out of full blast and seeing all these guys with RPGs pop out the bushes and lay into him as they could hear him coming for miles away and set up an ambush :p

I thought it was quite common for armoured US soldiers to plug in an iPod or CD player into the coms of their tank and play Slayer and Nickleback and Evanescence and PoD. I seem to remember a news report that specifically covered this where soldiers discussed their favorite music to kill by, it was quite revealing.

I don't believe armor had radios, just the jeeps and choppers.

Having music ingame wouldn't really give your position away in a chopper anyway seeing as how the choppers can be heard starting up from across the map.

I would love to see this and I don't think that the music is louder than the engine of a tank or chopper.

lol Bass, nice one.

The fact is that in reality troops don't roll down the road/fly across the desert blasting music. Well, unless you're in PSYOPs, but that's different.....really.

I cant imagine anyone would allow troops to blast music out during a mission, if they are patrolling/in convoy then sure most will allow that sort of thing.

But PR isnt convoys or standard procedure in the same sense its actual missions and its necessary to need all your senses working 100% in a combat situation and you would need to hear orders from commanding officers. Plus it would be annoying because not everyone's a fan of nickleback or POD or Metalica or whatever and you wouldn't be able to have multiple tracks on there so it would just bug others more then its worth. The difference with BFV was the music was likeable even if it wasn't your taste specifically.

Besides, PR already has a lack of Buttons to opperate the tanks as it is, assigning one to the radio is pointless when the smoke system is already having problems of its own.
