Stuttery Camera/View shake in Vehicles

Post by ohnos »

Hey all,

I'm sure this has already been posted somewhere, I was told so in game anyway that it was a large topic but I can't find it, and the tedious search feature won't so here goes

When driving cars, smaller vehicles, helicopters and aircraft and such, I get a massive view shake / wobble, randomly stuttering camera bug that just keeps jerking around, pretty headache inducing really; I've heard a 'fix' is to make an FH2 account specifically for that, or uninstall it, I've tried and uninstalled it as well no effect.. anything more sensible to fix this bug?

Again, sorry if this is discussed, just link the thread if you would be so kind :)

Great game, version 7.0 is unbelievable.. everything I've ever wanted to see in a shooter, just epic. The firebases and attrition battles, long range fire fights and mile long armored battles, heh. Awesome.
Besides this bug, :)

thanks!

For the record, if you use your account for both PR and FH2 you will have to do this all the time, so I would strongly recommend making a new one. Add an underscore or something to your name, no biggy. But FH2 will reset your controls every time you play it, and PR does no automatic resetting, so its up to you each time.

You can go into the control.con and fiddle with the land player controls, they added extra pitch and Roll axis to the commands, remove these and job done without losing keyboard mappings (thanks to Katash)

Just delete this 2 lines in the controls.con of your profile and set a write protection before you start FH2 again.
  • ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIPitch IDFMouse IDAxis_1 0 0
  • ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIRoll IDFMouse IDAxis_0 0 0

Cheers Bubba, trying this now.

(I found 3 instances of it, so I removed all 3)

I've been messing with this as well but it never worked for me.

Luckily I have 2 profiles with same controls so I just copied the unaffected config.

Is FH2 responsible for the "head spinning almost 360° to left" in the Huey? It's like the mouse look is mis-aligned, you can barely look to the right. I get the shaky mouse look too. I guess it's time to delete FH2.

I don't want to start a new thread, so I'll ask here first.
