Medics & Supression Effects
I didnt see a Feedback Section Devoted to Supression Effects.. If I missed it, my apologies in advance...
I generaly play Engineer, not Medic, so this is not some whine ment to make my life easier. And personally "I LOVE THE SUPRESSION EFFECT!" covering fire now works!!!
Do the Dev's think it would be Appropriate and Possible to change the Supression Effects for the Medic Role.
The days of the Medic being a Self Healing Infantryman seem to have been rectified, but the Role of Medic, as it was ment to be played.. has become alot more difficult. Not to say difficult is bad.
One thing that comes to mind is the fact that a Medic, is there to save lives.. Running to aid one of his fallen Fellows. Now without the minimap, this has become more Realistic. If now he does know where his comrade has fallen, he cannot effectivly get to him to heal or res him because of the Supression Effect. I am not suggestion a Free Pass for the Medic, I am suggesting that when the Medic has either his DEFIB or his TAMPAX in his hand that the supression effects are LESSENED, or REVERTED back to the .7 effect..
Just some thoughts..
THANKS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK..

If this was implemented ingame you would probably see medics running across streets with medic bags out just so they would have a reduced suppression effect to see where they are running, irl i think you would be suppressed just as easily while trying to save a fallen comrade if lead was flying over your head

Suppressing fire now gives more use to smoke grenades, before they were only for retreating or covering a medic, anything else just allowed the enemy to sneak up on you. Now it allows you to make the enemy's suppressing fire less effective.... if someone goes down drop a few smokes and the medic can work in decent enough cover. Besides your acting as if you cant see through the suppressing effect... its not as if you need to be pinpoint accurate to aim a medpack or defibrillator.

You mean your version of PR doesn't require you to pinpoint the wound and select appropriate treatment options?
I agree that it would just lead to exploits, as is you just need to learn to use smoke, and work with your squad to cover your medic by suppressing the people suppressing him.

i think suppression effects dont need to be changed. maybe toned down for everyone, but the medic is just like everyone else. toning down effects for medic with their defribs out would be like toning down effects for rifleman when he has his rifle out (otherwise he wouldnt be able to do his shooting job properly).
besides, as a medic, if im getting shot at alot, i just dont try to revive cuz i know poeple hate being revived and then killed instantly having to wait the 30+ seconds again

I think that the medic should get the full effect. Squads just have to learn to work together. To get a man back in the fight it should take at least the medic and another guy. The other guy to suppress the shooter back while the medic does his job.
As far as smoke goes, if I see smoke and I know it not friendly I fire randomly into it.
Tampons, I never saw them used on guys while I was in the sandbox but it does make sense.
