Insurgency put it back
Put insurgency back to how it was.
Having only 3 caches active at one time just makes the game too hard for the brits but too easy for the insurgents.
the way it was the game would start spead out, which allowed for some clever sneaking around and ambushes. The Insugents if they were clever could choose which caches to let fall and keep easily defended ones. The games started nice and slow and paced and would work its way into a climax.
And it dosnt make any sense there only being 3 caches active at one time.
Please change it back it allowed for some better game play then just insurgents sitting still and letting the brits come to them.
Personally ive found that insurgents work best when they sneak around ambushing brits and not staying still long enough. The way insurgency is now is the opposite and is aimed purley at the gun hoe trigger happy.

It just makes the caches a fortress of guns, the last 2 games i played we spent most of them having to retreat. and the whole brit team got only 1-2 measly caches.
The insurgency mode feels less like patrolling a real city for caches and more like a game, which breaks the veil, and yes i know its only a game.
It makes every cache a heavily defended combat zone, which means the brits waste their tickets on everyone of the 9 caches.
Mabey if the brit tickets were increased it would be more balanced but so far every match is just a drawn out combat and that uses brit tickets... Personaly me and a few other i nkow enjoy sneaking around searching for the caches and sneaking covertly past enemy squads, it was part of the joy and the paceing. now its just not possible because theres the whole team camped on just 3 caches.
I suggest either returning it to how it was or make the brits tickets infinite (or just alot more of them) aswell and invent another way for insurgents to win. even if its just time limits (which could be increased on alot of servers too).

its fine as it is if teh insurgents had 10 chaches to worry about the brits have a much easier work if you cant get to the caches that just seems like your own fault since I have seen brits won the fights alot of time s in 0.75. But operation archer is alittle to big for insurgecy I think fits more a conventinal army style, but ohh well that is maybe just me.

Has the method of gaining info changed? It seems as if they can simply shoot an insurgent and gain info, as opposed to taking his kit.
Also, if they walk near it, they seem to gain info about it as well.

Not really. Manual searches by squads or pairs of brits were usually searching for those unmarked caches anyway. In fact now its more beneficial for them as the Insurgents don't know where they are (which seems a bit odd) so there is less chance of running into a random one and having him set off alarm bells. In those areas with revealed caches it is more about clearing the area of Insurgents and THEN searching.BloodBane611 wrote:The fact that there are only three active caches at a time makes it much harder to do that Razick.

Its always been that way, 1 point for shooting an insurgent then an additional 3 (or something like that) for picking up his kit. Bonuses shooting/"capturing" cell leaders.Expendable Grunt wrote:Has the method of gaining info changed? It seems as if they can simply shoot an insurgent and gain info, as opposed to taking his kit.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

AFAIK, the weapon models haven't changed...TristanYockell wrote:Its better now but for the love of god fix the weapon models.
They look like their all stretched out and cheesy looking now.
Anyone who has held a gun before will realise how wrong they look now.
I'm refering to the SKS and AK
More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Thing is, the objective is to destroy the caches, not shoot insurgents. Thats just part of it. You have to remember to get the caches, you may have to shoot the insurgents doing it but not chase and kill them, you want to sneak to the caches.

I think he's talking about the new sights, which I love.KP wrote:AFAIK, the weapon models haven't changed...
With this new Insurgency, there's a little more action. Old Insurgency used to drag on forever, and many people had to leave. That left squads without their old squad leaders, and sometimes, no commanders. Then cache finding would be even harder.
More Insurgents defending less caches, means more Ins at the caches. And aren't caches heavily defended? Before Insurgents were spread out the entire map. Now they're usually where they're supposed to be.
