NO. Smaller blades have a vestigial fuller as a design hold over from longer bayonet blades. They are not, under any concept, designed to prevent a knife from getting stuck into something. This is an urban myth.

Agreed, man. Just gets on my tits is all.

Sweet model. You crazy Brits and your barrel obstructing bayonets...not for the first time in history, either!

The weapon fires through the bayonet. Thats why its hollow and has those spaces on grip are, they allow the flash hider to work with the bayonet on.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

It's like this Sherlock!
Anyone that disagrees with what I have stated on this issue is just plain... Well you get the idea.
When you actually know what you are talking about I'll be glad to listen.

Please don't believe everything you see on TV, or the internet for that matter. It really amazes me how you can disagree with someone that knows what they are talking about, even while you don't know the answers yourself. You are just guessing or you heard it from some other fool that doesn't know what he is talking about either. Talk about the blind leading the blind.
You have no idea what the hell you are talking about, cause you have never witnessed anything like it. Or experienced it for yourself. Yet you quickly disagree with someone who has, cause you saw it on the internet.

You know I have never been to space on the Space Shuttle before, but I guess I know all about it now. Because I stayed in a Holiday Express last night.

What I mean is this. Just because someone saw something on a TV show doesn't make them a freaking expert on the subject, and when a real expect on the subject is talking. Maybe that person should "shut the fuck up" and listen. They just might learn something else that the TV show didn't cover or didn't expand upon.

While I'm no expert on this particular subject, I have "been there done that and got the dam T-shirt". What about you scooter? Have you actually held something besides a warm butter knife in your hands?

On second thought, believe what ever you wish. I'm not gonna waste time trying to teach a pig to sing. It wastes my time, and annoys the pig.

I bow to your ignorance, and only ask that you never reproduce!

Like [R-MOD]Bob_Marley said, this bayonet dose not obstruct the barrel, its a very good design of bayonet in fact. I wasn't going to post this render up before as you guys may have got the wrong idea but you can see clearly here, the barrel goes down the center of the handle...

This way you can still shoot with your bayonet attached.

Or, you know, I've never seen one before and thought the knife model was in two parts. Bit more appropriate.

Because you don't...you really don't. Here, go to this forum:

Sword Forum International | swordforum.com

Go to their knives section. Ask. Then realized I saved you some effort.

So dose this mean we will see Bayonets for the fallowing weapons implemented soon?:

Assault rifles:

AK-101 Bayonet
AK-47 Bayonet
Type-95 Bayonet
G3A3 Bayonet
SKS Bayonet (This one is a must because it's a folding version and is permanently fixed to the gun)

If you bothered to read my first post...
[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Before I start, this will not be used as a Bayonet in game any time soon, it will only be used as a combat knife for the British due to the amount of time and energy needed to make a bayonet its really not worth it, considering as well we only have one animator who has alot more important things to do :D

I really could care less. Why am I gonna waste my time "asking" some other so called expert when I already know for myself? That forum is probably just like this one. Full of know nothing professional know it alls that watch documentaries and think they are knowledgeable and experienced. Why, so some fool like you can tell me what it is for? Some fool that has probably never used one other than to carve a piece of turkey.

No... No thank you.

By the way, where were you when I needed you? I could have used the help during all those sticky situations while on my many deployments? With all your "hands on experience" and expertise from video clips. Probably still breast feeding I suppose.

I think we will just have to "agree" to "disagree". Don't know about you, but this topic is a waste of my time.

Still, a bayonet on a bullpup rifle isn't incredibly efficient, though I am mindful they have been used before.

The sole advantage IMO of a long rifle over bullpup.
