Yeah give the G3 (and maybe grenades to compesate the lost of the GL) to the SL

as for the skins...they almost look all the same (the only difference u can see is the rag tag and distinguish the white shirt from the blue/green one). Though maybe not a MEC mercenary but something like that yeah

PS i doubt I ever saw a insurgent with a modernised AKS but im not gonna comment that

AK is more real... because insurgents don't have the money for either good weapons or good vechles.

Not so much that as it's sort of difficult to smuggle in a military-grade vehicle.

fail.

G3 is a horrible weapon as it is now (no offense dev's). The recoil is insane, and i definitely think the AK is superior to it in many ways, (cqc, ammo, recoil), and lacking in others (range/accuracy).

I heard of the tire blockades idea last night while playing Insurgency, and I'd say it'd be useful and make the map more dynamic. Poorly placed tires may give away positions however. It's all down to using them properly with placements for both teams.

How would one destroy a tire blockade, I wonder.

actually IRL the G3 does recoil more then a AK but the penetration is far more superior which basicaly is suposed to deal a whole lot more damage

well obviously it would, it's just the fact the AK is alot more use friendly especially in urban environments. Sure the G3 might be nice at longer ranges, but i'd definitely take an AK over a g3 in an urban fire fight, where it's about getting lots of lead out towards the enemy so your ambushers can flank in.

I also like the idea of the tire blockades. It would give the Civilian class a little more importance and give the Insurgent team more flexibility in defending caches, especially those that spawn in open areas.

I personally like the idea of the 'MEC Mercen' or something similar coming back to Insurgency. But rather than being a regular kit, or even a limited kit, how about as the Commander's kit? Give him a decent CQB weapon (The HK53), some smoke grenades, maybe a couple trip flares, binoculars and an insane respawn time. His purpose would be to orchestrate the insurgents, like a commander usually does. His kit would be purely geared towards escape & evasion, while the ability to spot enemy assets with his binoculars would increase the insurgents ability to react to the advancing forces.

While I was writing this I thought of another class, whether or not it's been suggested before. An insurgent limited kit (1 max) 'The Bomb Maker' or something to that effect. Would have IEDs (Preferably with a delay) and VBIEDs (More or less C4 with a longer delay), and a wrench. Could use the regular civilian skin/kit model. Without any form of defense, he would rely on civilians to blend in with, or insurgents to protect his escape from an occupied area. Like the insurgent commander, he would sit back and avoid contact with the occupying force; meanwhile, he would be strategically placing VB/IEDs in places that would hinder the movement and advance of the occupying force.

Sorry for the hijack.

the black market is awash with G3s from the Bundwhesr and ive seen videos of iraqi insurgents using G3s imported from iran so G3s are definately a real suggestion to use.

i would personally rather have the cell leader with a G3 than another AK with a gp25, it would help portray the varied rag tag weaponry that they have and make him far more useful
