The future MEC sniper rifle.

A 7.62x51mm NATO bolt-action sniper rifle with a 5-round rotary magazine. Extremely accurate and should be a tough competitor to the L115A1 and M40.

I love the fact the inside of the mag is modelled... of course though mate, you do realise that you've given the complainy crew another reason to moan? "If the Devs didn't spend time modelling things we'll never see, we'd have fastropes/a carrier/the Bolivian Navy added!"

Wasn't SV-98 supposed to be the MEC sniper?

And will MEC keep using the SVD as their marksman rifle or are we getting something from the G3 family to replace it?

It was, things change it would seem.

IIRC the MEC will be getting a G3SG/1 to replace the SVD at some point.

Anyway, 'tis sexy.

Well, before there were purpose-built sniper rifles, they used hunting and service rifles. SSG69 is one of the first rifles to be built with snipers in mind and was also one of, if not the first, IIRC, to use a cold hammer-forged barrel.
