Does everybody need to see your rally point

Post by sector7g »

I would like to suggest that rally points be hidden from all but commander and the squad who's rally point it is.

Reason - it is all too easy for people on coms systems like TS and ventrillo to communicate where enemy rally points might be found.

I know that you devs are already very busy and I am very greateful for this last patch 0.75 which by the way is amazing ;-) .

always living in hope,

I see what you mean but on the other hand it's useful for knowing the direction is which to direct your own squad. If you don't see friendly rallies you don't see the defensive holes you need to plug or the flanks you should be taking etc.

Yes and ualso where do friendlies spawn so its better for coordination (like if youre apporaching a flag from the North and theres a RP west of you then you move SE)

If the frienlies cant see the rallies, then they will place it too close to the existing rally. Instead of putting it in a undefended area.
On the other hand it is just lame when teamspeakers are cheating by giving up their teams rallypoints. That way they will lose the round and their respect if you ask me...

There sure is a few narcs out there.
I think a guy named recon and GAGAGAGAGA to name a few.
I had an odd match where the enemy jet was allways on my six no matter what i did. And those two had no score wile recon was logging off and on.
Its one of those things you can't really put a finger on.
Make sure that admins kick idlers.

I think the positive of knowing where the other squads are far outweighs the negatives on this one. Last night I was on an server and all squads were systematically wiped out by the other team - common complaint was nobody could get a rally point setup for longer than a few minutes. Odd and wreaks of 'table talk' - but i would still say its better to have a clue where the other squads are.
