Warning Screen in Vista

Post by [R2]Atkins »

I'm running vista. I'm running the shortcut as administrator and as xp service pack 2.

My shortcut points to:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

I've used the patch. And I've reinstalled the mod. Suggestions?

If you have Vista and are running 64bit, make sure it points to the Program Files(x86) folder, like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr

If you don't have Vista 64, then you're going to have to copy/paste the warning message, as there could be thousands of possible warnings.

It's the warning in big red letters about running PR.exe instead of bf2.exe. i have vista home premium, it's not 64 bit

Another way of getting to it is by starting bf2 like normal and once in, go to the "communities" tab and click the "custom games". Choose Project Reality from the list (or special forces or whatever mod you might have installed that you want to play) and then "activate". It's a long way around, but it works.
I wish developers would give players the option to turn off Camera Bobbing/Swaying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first post said that I'm running as admin.

The workaround works, however the suppression affect doesn't work

Cheat (PR shaders won't work).

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"

That's what my start in says, I'm going to try the UAC setting.
