Un-Official: Goodbye Vanilla Thread!
After finding out my nades didn't feel like working, not being able to hear myself getting shot for 10 feet away, people still bunny hopping away as an escape, watching surface to air missles make turns that would make UFOs envious, simply having no idea how to use the new grenade launchers, I've decided I'm probably going to be rolling back tomarrow when I wake up so I can play PRMM... MAYBE...
the only reason I say maybe is because I'm in Eastern time (-05:00 GMT) and have no idea how populated the servers are. I usually get on to play BF2 around 2-5AM and 3-5PM, and on the weekends its sparadic for the most part. I don't want to roll back and only find empty PRMM servers.
R.I.P. Vanilla...
Rest In Pieces!!!!

numbers have gone down drastically since the release of 1.2 and seeing as DICE has broken BF" already and they have to re patch after less then a week of release we are basically being shown that DICE don't care about the comunity (the whole BF2 comunity). and that they are doing a ham fisted atempt to improve what was a good-ish game.
Harrod200:"Fire.exe has committed an illegal operation and has been shut down"
Raniak : "Warning: May crash if fired upon."
M4sherman: "like peter pan but with tanks"
[R-MOD]Eddiereyes909 (on sim tower) "It truly was the game of my childhood and has led to me getting my degree in industrial engineering."

I played some vanilla 1.2 today and found it 3 times as frustrating as 1.12. May have just been my misfortune to join a server full of idiots. Of course its quite probable that the great teamwork you get in PR has spoiled vanilla for me. Which is a good thing of course. Soon as I can play PR again I shall be avoiding vanilla like the plague. [at least until I finalize my device for remotely punching idiots in the head over the 'net]

I really dont like the "effort" that DICE is putting into the game. They can really suck at choosing how to implement some things after the original product is out. They've done a great job of dumbing down the game for the noobs.
They solution to bunny hopping? Just bunny-hop...but cant shoot...I guess its better than nothing.
They pulled back the option to pick up C4, AT Mines, and claymores from the floor with the 'G' button for "balance" purposes. What kind of falacious argument is this? That's just **** from them. I bet this could be implemented in the Mod if we gave it a try...and the code available allows.
AA missiles hovering on top of a flame!! OMG!! Then 90 degree turn (after 5+ seconds hovering of course) and hit a plane. I bet they REALLY put some A.I. into those!!
They lowered AA Vehicle Hitpoints...but didn't touch the settings of other vehicles at ALL. This causes imbalance and more problems. I think they should've changed some other things to the settings of the other vehicles (HPs, damage, etc..)
Apparently, there's no particular "skill development process" needed anymore to be proficient at any particular task with any particular vehicle and/or kit. Many things were noobed down to the point that even a one-game-per-week player can be as proficient as a hardcore player.

i agree with everything stated here
well i guess i can handle low server turnout by playing PRMM on single player for the time being until the next installment of PRMM is out!
