Old Fogies
Well, we may not all be OLD per se, but I've been wondering who here has been playing PR since 0.1? I know there's a poll somewhere on here, but I'd like to see who is actually left. Just for my own amusement, mostly.
And just for fun, maybe tell the audience why you decided to try it in the first place.
I was tired of shooting somebody 10 times to kill them.

Im still here
I tried the first version and thought the mod was **** lol it only held my interest for a few days before I forgot about it..
returned for v0.2.... still thought it was **** lol but the players who played nightly (there was a very small amount back then) were great and that made it alot of fun, it was a very tight group that played and was competitive.
v0.3 / v0.32 was when I started playing alot more and really started getting interested in the mod, its community and the potential it had.
I believe it was a news post on planetbattlefield.com that first peaked my curiousity... and that doomlab mod vote thing is where i also noticed the PR..

I have been playing all of the releases. I spend quite a decent amount of time playing the first one, then kind of lost my interest. I still played occasionally though.
Then I think 0.32 is when I started to play a lot and since then I just haven't been able to stop.
Even though the game wasn't that great during the first releases it was still awesome to play since everytime you joined gloryhoundz (basically the only populated server there was) you would find that about 90% of the players used VOIP. It was all about teamwork, whereas nowadays it's extremely rare to find me on a public server without some of my friends.

I think it was 0.09 or 0.1 when i started playing..., different skin for usmc, no crosshairs and dumbfire HAT or was it AA.., cant remember, when the mod was only like 10mb download or something hehehe.
I remember trying it out while i was in a bf2 tournament with battlefield-command.com ( EBC ) I kept an eye on it but i didnt start playing it more until 0.4 i think it was.

Flashpoint has a weeks worth of out the box gameplay, after that it's boring. "

WOW am i the only person here who did not think 0.2 was **** or utter **** but had the foresight to realize that 0.2 was the road to genius! And however naff any present version were, the final outcome would be god smacking!
My moment of uber smugness is over
