Replace the sniper with a disignated marskman??

Post by Campez »

Hey i would really love if you replaced the sniper with a disignated marskman. Give him an MK12 with a scope :P And then give some classes a binocular, so they can spot enemy soldiers from a long distance, that would make more teamword between the classes.

Say what you mean about my suggestion, i like it my self ofcourse, but i would like to se what the rest of the community thinks :P

"Deja vu" in french means "already seen" or something like that, I'm not really good at English

The term déjà vu (French: "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was created by a French psychic researcher, Emile Boirac (1851-1917) in his book L' Avenir des Sciences Psychiques, which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate French concentrator at the University of Chicago. ...

so would the designated marksman have at least an ACOG 4x scope on an M4? IRL, ya USMC doesnt have as many snipers running around like the BF2 USMC does, but DMRs (Designated Marksman Rifles) usually have one of these ACOG scopes on em (AFAIK anyway)

I think the first DMR rifle will be the SPR, but the M14 has been rumoured to be making an appearence.

Love that rifle, it's the one that the sniper from Black Hawk down uses? well one of the rescue team snipers.

in the case of the the M14 I would think you would be talking about either the Nam era M21 (*some* units still use it, but I'm not sure how many) or the M25 which is practically the same (to my understanding) as the M21 - both rifles are upgraded variants of the M14 match grade rifle...

personally I think as far as BF2 goes, I would enjoy using an SPR (hehe, Knights SR25) more than a match grade rifle of the M14 variant, even if it packs less of a punch, it would have (I think) better handling and less recoil...

BTW: you guys should check out tapco.com and check out how they've modernized an old SKS with composite/plastic stock, picatinny spec RIS, and a reflex/dot-sight - I havent show it to my dad yet because it would make him jealous and want to trade his old wood stock SKS for one of those nice new composite build SKSs
