Give Gulf of Oman the Zatar Treatment

In counter-attack Zatar Wetlands uses more of its territory than in the original version and is all the better for it in my opinion.

Gulf of Oman looks a little better in counter-attack with the coastline flags removed but still doesn't use a lot of its territory. I hope Gulf of Oman gets new flags to enable use of its unused territory.

Will Gulf of Oman get new flags to enable use of its mostly unused landscape (in AAS and CA) or will it be removed entirely from 0.8?

I kinda agree,but I don't...With Gulf Of Oman that is.'

The map actually is "kinda" small,comparing it to other PR maps...I think it's fine the way it is though...

IIRC they can't add anything because they lost some map component.

The map used to be wider but now there is two DoD's :/

I hear this a lot, about all maps, but you shouldnt be suggesting for new flags to be placed, the territory is there to be used in flanking manouvers and overwatch positions...flags give the game away, more people need to use their head in this game.

Don't remove Gulf Of Oman,I personally love the map,along with other PR players I know...But I know a few maps that DO need removed...Cough,Bi Ming,Hills Of Hamgyong...

No I'm not.2 most least played maps,and to me,not fun.Hills of Hamgyong is only good for sniping...

We've just played Bi Ming in the Tournament. That thing's a blast.

Not much like Hamyong though. Because Hamyong is even bigger blast. A blast of nadespam, spawnrapping, sniping, *add some nasty words here*.

I personally don't care about Oman, but Hamyong really needs to do farewell.

I'd definatly like to see Hamgyong go before Oman. I actualy enjoy Gulf of Oman, despite popular oppinion.

I personaly like playing MEC on Gulf map. I can shot down those arrogant americans out of the sky ;)
I would like sunset city leave... if its played tactically its good map. But its rarely played so. It more like zergling rush and it becomes nade spam and sniper fest, like karkand in vBF2.

Gulf of Oman had that treatment. They fixed it for 0.7. Bi Ming is now played alot due to the daytime. And HoH is never played due to spam fest.

I still can't understand why Operation Phoenix was removed and HoH was kept in...

As for Oman its an okay map. It looks nice and I like the idea of amphibious assaults but in .7 I don't think I've ever seen the US win. They only manage to capture Hotel and then it turns into a meatgrinder battle in the middle of the map. I think it could be easily fixed by opening up the sides and moving the MEC main base back a lot so they can't counterattack USMC positions so easily.

Is that true about some component missing so it isn't possible to change the map?
