Kit Stays After Disconnect

It happens very often that a certain person with a very important kit, such as the officer kit, decides to disconnect. The result of this being that there is no way to retrieve the kit.

Would it be possible, however, for the kits to remain after the player disconnects from the server, in the same way as when they die? This would not only allow important kits such as the HAT to be retrieved but, if a squad leader disconnects, allows the new squad leader take the officer kit and set up a rally, etc.

In general, disconnect=kit left on ground.

Yea... Left on the ground with out disappearing.
A realistic and justifiable reclaim in desperate situations.

What if you respawn and die again? It's a matter of minutes before the whole battlefield is swarming with kits!

Disconnect from the server, not die. The point of this is not to have kits stay on the map forever, but rather disconnecting players leave their kits (which go away eventually) just like if they die.
