Some Players Need To Chill Out
I had just entered a squad and was running to a building for cover, but God forgive me, it was the wrong building amoung the many that were available. The squad leader started yelling at me and another squad member said:'...kick this idiot out of the squad', and a second later I was kicked.
It's players like these that are going to drive others away from PR. That was the first squad I have run across that was so rude and inconsiderate. We all need to remember, 'IT'S JUST A GAME, CHILL OUT'!

However theres is some truth in what he says sniper or no sniper hehe.., ive been in many squads and like everyone made mistakes only to be hit with a barrage of abuse because of it. Its just plain stupid and retarded how ppl seem to think that making a mistake in the heat of an ONLINE GAME can be the end of your RL ffs. I mean christ ive made some pretty mad mistakes IRL but in the past ive had worse abuse ingame than ive ever had off anyone.
Conclusions drawn in my experience of squad work in PR, ive found that the players that give the most ( and can take the least ) abuse are generally americans.
To remedy this? ( works with any nationality

Well, there's also a line, where some people "chill".
You can have a squad, where squad members are totally serious and they enjoy following orders, having a SL which constantly reminds them about everything (spacing, medic, get AT) etc. and some random pubbie guy joins and doesn't like it and thinks they need to chill out.

for every person in a squad making an honest mistake, theres about 10 people who are genuine idiots and dont follow orders/stay with the squad/respond to voip etc. so chances are the OPs squad leader was probably just under the assumption that he had another idiot join his squad cuz hes so used to it. i know i am.
and it has nothing to do with nationality idiots come from every country.

I come across these type of guys every once in awhile, but I have pretty thick skin, so whatever, no big deal. Anyone see the movie "Shoot em Up" the phrase " I hate pussies with guns"
Most of those jerks are probably pre-pubescent kids who live and breath the game. I hate pussies who game, and think they are Rambo,, or some Delta force dude.
So then I join or start my own squad and place in the top 5
By the way, wanna be hardcore and real reality, join the Military and take tour of Iraq, it will enlighten most...

It's better to keep your mouth shut, and be thought an idiot, than to open it and prove it...
Dude, I will punch you in the face until you blackout! Move the *uck out!

I agree. I'm new to Project Reality myself, also I bought BF2 specifically to play PR (standard bf2 is dumb beyond belief). I really think PR is something great and special, I really admire the realism they are trying to provide however some are very intolerant. I'm still learning myself and I've been kicked from squads I guess cause I wasn't following orders or something. Some people have mind of their own ya know. I think some are control freaks and love to micromanage everything and I understand that a good squad is something to behold but not everybody likes to play in a squad all the time. This is a game after all.SniperMan1 wrote:I had just entered a squad and was running to a building for cover, but God forgive me, it was the wrong building amoung the many that were available. I've yet to have a bad experience, but I always strive to not screw up to avoid abuse.
TG and BattleArena have plenty of friendly players, but you'll get the occasional 'screaming' via Caps Lock nut who thinks this is real war, and believes everyone's dumber than him. General tard busy spamming messages and not playing the game.
Of course, we all have a bad day.

Just so you know kicking someone for not following orders probably the very best reason to kick someone from your squad. If you have a mind of your own then why dont you start up your own squad? Or if you dont like to play in a squad then i dont know why you'd join a squad in the first place...or get PR for that matter.Defiyur wrote:I agree. All of you getting upset when players take this game seriously also need to see it from their perspective as well. Its rude to them to consider them pissed for no good reason.
For all you know, you could have stumbled into a squad of ex-special forces who do, in fact, take this game as seriously as humanly possible. probably beyond, in fact.
Project Reality isnt just a run of the mill game. Although its vast majority is probably made up of gamers who just like the realism, Im sure it has a rather large amount of men and women who take it incredibly seriously. Even if they arent/werent in service.
It sucks and they should be nicer, I know, but just find a new squad that seems to play to your liking. Its also rude of you to expect someone playing "a game" to change their level of seriousness to fit you
