HUD in transport choppers

Post by krisfx »

I couldnt find a thread so here goes.

I dont think that there should be a HUD on transport choppers seeing as they dont actually have them, I think also it would be useful for either a Para class or having special forces with parachutes for airbourne insertion etc

As non of the dials on the choppers work the HUD is pretty handy, as for Para's, don't go there, its been suggested so many times!!!

on arma u can fly the BH since the dials actually work but since that is (as far as i know) impossible we should keep it.

also because you didnt find something it doesnt mean it doesnt exist, paras have been suggested several times and i think the DEV team has said that they might make para maps im not sure though.

parachutes for airborne insertion

Post by thepalerider »

Just go as pilot. They have parachutes for airborne insertion. Then kill the first guy you find and take his kit. The pistol is DEADLY close to mid range with little muzzle climb, but yea I wouldn't mind having parachutes for special operations kit or a new airborne kit all together.
Lightweight low ammo(2-3 clips?) no body armor, no GLTD
airborne kit :
1* Knife
2* Suppressed Pistol (2+1 magazines)
3* Carbine Rifle(M16A4?) (3+1 magazines)
4* SLAM (1 minute timer) x 2
5* Smoke Grenade x 2
6* C4 Explosive x 1 (maximum deployable 2)
7* Binoculars
8* Field Dressing x 1
9* Grappling Hook

ye the HUD in transport choppers is a good point, but ingame they require a HUD since in r/l they show there status via the instruments, which ingame dont work they are just a texture so its either have no instruments, or have a HUD and a HUD is the more realistic option :)

Afaik you can't have speedometer as an arrow, only as numbers, digital, not analog.
