In the mars offworld mod thread MrD mentioned the old BSG mod. If I remember correctly, the player actually spawned inside the vipers/cylon fighers. like the old vBF2 apcs

Spawning in the jets/helos (apart from transport helos ofc, that would just be silly) would benefit maps like kashan since people won't wait at base for their turn. Only thing is that you would need to be able to spawn with the pilot kit, which could make things odd.

this will not fix the playerside bug of n00b pilots, it will not ensure that the right squad gets the asset, but it will keep people from waiting at main at least.

If its even possible in PR :wink:

Its certainly possible, the test version of the Osprey had it.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

ok, we'll stick with the having to 'SPAWN'and walk for 30 seconds to reach the queue next to the A10, instead of just spawning in the damned thing without a queue waiting at main base.

I think the problem is that people would use it like the old apcs and spawn in entire squads behind enemy lines. if you left the gunner seat on an attack helo for instance everyone could just take turns spawning and then jump out. It would cause more problems then it would fix
