Hello devs, i wanted to first ask, not request or beg, if there is in service a chopper that maintains only surveillance of the battlefield only when the UAVs are not available?
Since the UAVs were removed, for a good reason, and the commanders ability to see from his map right over the heads of enemies as well, i was wondering if there is a chopper thats only a 2 seater, for pilot and copilot, where the copilots job is to spot out whats going on over the battlefield with the camera that the attack helos have (IE: gun camera).
Everytime the copilot spots out armor or enemies the pilot's team members would receive the threat on their minimaps, and the commander as well should receive this on his map so that the commander can then coordinate his troops accordingly.
But again i stress that this is just a question first, and if agreeable, something for the devs to think about, if applicable, into future PR releases.
A new vehicle of need perhaps

i think the Kiowa is just the chopper for this. i think IRL its a recon chopper, with some attack abilities. unfortuneatly its not in the game, i dont know if it will ever be. it would be the perfect replacement for the little bird. im not sure about the other factions though.
known in-game as BOOMSNAPP

Leo do we have a recon littlebird in the game currently, or were u reffering to a recon littlebird that should be applied to the game?
Im not saying that the littlebird is the solution to go, but i do know that the chinese attack helo style of chopper has the mounted cam on its nose and could be converted as a recon type of chopper. But im just speculating. Im sure there must be some type of recon chopper that we could use. Since the spotting system has been changed this much, the recon chopper would be a great asset to the game im sure it would be looked greatly upon. I mean if i was a commander that chopper would be my right hand in all situations.

Scout helicopters behaving in this way has been suggested before, and done in the Armored Fury expansion for stock BF2.
Yes, it is true that only the Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment uses the AH-6/MH-6 "Little Birds." AH-6 stopped being a scout helicopter and is now a specialist light attack helicopter quite a while ago. The OH-58 Kiowa is a 30+ year old airframe. It is being replaced with the similar ARH-70, so even though a model for the Kiowa was WIP, sadly it will likely not end up in the game.
Locking for resuggestion.
