civi squads mass offering for arresting

Post by TeRR0R »

Yesterday I saw a whole civi squad offering themselfes for arresting at the airport. So they disruped gameplay because GB team tickets dont fell below 300 and got all the time they need to find the caches.
Maybe the "arrest" tickets revenue should be limited somehow, or put +10 seconds on the respawn timer for every "arrest".

What do you think?

What?

Teams don't lose/gain points for killing/arresting civilians. They gain/lose intelligence points.

hmmm drive a bomb truck to the airport and settle the score!

You get an extra 30 seconds if you are arrested.. but it does not accumulate.

In all the rounds of Basrah i've played... this sort of thing is very rare, especially a whole squad. PR is pretty smacktard proof but you cant stop everything.

For every arrest coalition team gains 10 tickets and 7 intel points.

Server admins should take care of that kind of smacktardery.

HAHA perhaps the british should also get a civi kit, but such a kit can only spawn inside the city? :P LOL

Get tonnes of points for saving the civilians

Yes this is very annoying to see whole civie squads giving themselves to the brits it disrupts gameplay and lets the brtis not fall below 300 tickets. But if the battlearena admins see this, the people responsible will be kicked if not banned for a round and on the battlearena you can use the <!vk playername> to vote kick the smacktards it only takes 10 points to kick.

I think there is nothing wrong with that. I like to think of it as role playing. Just think of them as real Iraqi civies that are sympathetic to the British and wish to help them the only way they can.

Theres a reason the civies are on the insurgent side game mechanics wise! If they were going to have brit friendly civvies they would have a kit available to the brits aswell. Next time I see a civvie helping the brits I WILL shoot him, simply because it ruins the game. It is no worse then cheating as far as im concerened...

You might aswell tell one of your squad mates to go on insurgent side and tell you the positions of all the caches. Its a game, and civvies are on the Insurgent side, because thats how the devs wanted them, live with it.
Im sorry I went to Mars for a second there but im back now and I got T-Shirts for everybody.

Actually, civilians collaborating with the Brits is kinda realistic. British soldiers would probably use talk to the locals, etc. IRL.

Yes in real life but this is still a game, and it ruins the game. You might aswell just have all the caches marked on the map before the game starts if you have civvies telling people where caches are. The insurgents cant do anything to stop the civvies from betraying them either because they will get punished... in RL if a civvie was telling the brits where the caches were and the insurgents found out about it they would probably execute him, but in game they get punished.... Its cheating, simple as, you might aswell log in as an ambusher kit and tell brits, what kit your using dosnt matter, the fact people are wreaking the game mechnics does.

An answer to this problem might be to add in a british civvilian kit, (requestable) mabey call it an informant kit or something. Make it look just like a normal civvie, and allow him to wonder around the map searching for caches if he finds one (which he probably will) he can inform the brits.

Give him the same punishments for the brits if they kill him but allow the insurgents to kill him as a spy. Infacvt I may make a thread about this so people can say what they think.
