Possible to play normal BF2 with mod installed?

I really want to try the project reality mod, but I have great diffuculty installing and uninstalling the game and patches. I was wondering if while this mod is installed if I can still go into normal servers or not. Also, if I can't is it hard to change the files around so I can? Or do I have to do a complete reinstall..?

You have the wrong idea. All you have to do is install it once, and your done. When you want to play on BF2 servers, simply switch versions under the "community" tab in your main menu. Vice-Versa with PRMM .25 in place.

Installing PRMM will not prevent you from playing regular BF2.

Simply start the game with the appropriate link (PRMM or just Battlefield 2), or switch the active mod in-game in the community tab.

Also, what patches are you talking about? All you need is BF2 + BF2 1.2 Patch + PRMM 0.25, nothing else.
