Kicked for somthing I didn't do.

Post by Ghost33 »

Ok I know i've only been here a couple weeks but just 1 min ago I went to play on the GloryHounds server and after I was logging on and Verrifying info I pressed the "join" button only to get kicked by an admin. It was most definately an unfair kick as I just got in the game, I noticed someone yelling in all chat about "Oh god no! everyone press pgdwn now!" so I looked to see what it was. Apparently it said I had voted for a map to be played next, which I havent even had time to do if I did, but I didn't. So any ways, I never voted to have a map changed, but it said I did. And I got kicked for it, which is another topic all together, if you have map voting enabiled your admins shouldnt kick for it, right?

Hmmmm...kick votes are disabled, unless you teamkill then you automatically get the boot. Maybe it was a glitch, or an admin tried to kick someone else and accidentaly kicked you. You should be off the kicked list in a few hours.

Ghost I am sorry if I kicked you in mistake. I had just finished asking about a million times for the Vote spamming to stop. I had just set the next map to The one that was being voted for and announced it to the server.

I do think it is a bug upon joining you initiated a vote.

You could rejoin again As I think you did.

yeah I got back in, sorry about being upset but I had no way of explaining at all. That is the first time anything like that has happened before, it was as if the vote was already there before I got fully into the game.

There was a hell of a lot of vote spamming and it got too much - it just was unlucky (and very stupid on the game's behalf) that it glitched as you joined and made a map vote.

Just to vouch for Dedmon, he probably did kick you by mistake. I've seen that bug a million times, where as soon as I'd join a server, it'd say that I started a mapvote.

It's a bug.

If someone starts a vote and it fails, every single person that joins after that will call a vote without them even doing anything.

Another reason why the vote system in BF2 sucks and needs to be tuned off.
