It sure would be cool if grass at medium to long range wasnt a liability. 1) Hey! There's grass in my face!
2) Hey! I see that completly exposed guy there!
3) Wtf? How did he kill me? I was covered by GRASS
Is there a way to make that grass be there up till the fog wall? Or is it that think I keep seeing "Hardcoded"...
If not, is it possible to make all guillie suits WORK? (Not that it would.. since as far as the shooters are concerned, there is no grass!) But Im tired of being a spec of watercolour orange in a feild of oil paint yellow. (If you know what I mean)
Just some more sniper issues...

Perhaps there is a way to make snipers who are prone... at a long distance go semi transparent, kinda like a slightly dumbed down equivilent of the bf2142 stealth suit effect. Now I know your first thoughts are probably...REALITY!!!! but its more to counteract the fact that bf2 cant handel camoflage well. If the player was semi transparent when prone at that range they would hopefully look more blended into the scenery. It has essentaly the same effect as a gillie suit would have, without having to up draw distances to a rate where lesser comps would fall down.
Im sorry I went to Mars for a second there but im back now and I got T-Shirts for everybody.

To the OP, its long been mentioned in the forums that Ghille suits dont work, the grass is rendered at too short a range and cannot be increased due to performance reasons. On top of that, terrain sinking is something that has been going on since VBF2 days.
To Jester Prince, its been suggested before. Dont bother making a topic about it.
