No offence but you are the lazy one, you can get a basic but decent mic for 3$ at BestBuy, Staples or any other big store.Mentharian wrote:We know VOIP is awesome - just mum and dad are too lazy to buy one for me.![]()
Grab your empty soda cans and get the refund it shouldn't take you long to get the money for your mic.

Can't drive, main thing. I haven't seen a $3 mic before, but I'll take your word for it.PF-Greasy Monkey wrote:No offence but you are the lazy one, you can get a basic but decent mic for 3$ at BestBuy, Staples or any other big store.

My parents won't let me get one because they(rightly) think that it will distract me from school too much. Real life is a great game, it just has a steep learning curve.

depends, does she have a sexy voice?Raniak wrote:Remember that PR fanbase come from around the world. Do you really want to hear spanish when you are in a public squad ?
Just call ur squad VOIP ENG, or something along those lines. Kick any player who joins who cannot fulfill the requirement
On the subject of IQ tests, they are indeed innaccurate but you are right that some real morons (i.e. IQ less than 80) play with us. IF YOU JOIN A VOIP SQUAD YOU MUST HAVE A GOD DAMNED MIC!!!!!!

Try in the options tab, u can adjust sending & receiving volumes independently, can even do it during game play, just hit esc, make adj, then esc again...I think, did it once, think thats how I did it.OwnenUnooBs wrote:my mic settings get all screwed up when I play PR and BF2 so I don't use VOIP.....does any1 know how to fix the settings issue....I heard there was a program but what is it???:
It's better to keep your mouth shut, and be thought an idiot, than to open it and prove it...
Dude, I will punch you in the face until you blackout! Move the *uck out!

There's usually a group of players on the server with mics, the problem is usually teaming up with them. So it's best to join or create VOIP/Mic Only squads (Which is normally what I do).
Even then though, not everyone with a mic is always responsive, and willing to cooperate. I've had micless players in a squad that will usually stick to the SL/Teammates like glue, and follow orders to the letter. While some players with mics tend to do their own things, sometimes you wish they would just start their own squad.

Maybe you're lucky enough to have actual working VoIP. I have a mic, comp reads it fine, but BF2 won't detect it. >.>
This new laptop I'm posting on right now has a built-in mic on the frame, hopefully it'll work. Problem is, Vista, the video card and monitor are outputting 59hz, incompatible with BF2. Might try dual-booting with XP. Might try new home remedies.
